Sugar Bear (female) is still looking for her forever home! Previously fostered in NC and now fostered in Lanexa VA.
She is around 4 months old, fully vetted, and microchipped. We think she is some sort of lab chi or terrier mix. She will definitely stay smaller in size, and is a petite little thing.
She was rescued from hoarding house in North Carolina.
She house mostly trained and mostly crate trained.
She is submissive and would do well with big dogs or as only dog. She is shy at first but quick to warm up to love and attention. She loves to snuggle and be loved.

These sweet babies that I’m fostering are still looking for their forever homes. That are the final two from their litter of 5!

Kanga & Wallaby, 11 weeks old
Australian Cattle Dog/Unknown mix, and expected to stay small.
Up to date on vaccines and also microchipped.
Currently being fostered in Lanexa (New Kent) VA, Previously fostered in NC.

These sweet babies have a special place in my heart, I thought for sure they would be the first to be adopted. I can’t believe they are still waiting to be adopted.

Kanga is so sweet and loving, and the tiniest of her siblings. She plays hard and loves even harder. Kanga loves to snuggle and be held, but enjoys a quiet spot where she can have some peace, quiet, and alone time.
Wallaby plays and explores with more confidence but always wants to know where his people are. He will run and explore, then come running back to make sure that you’re still watching.

Both have done wonderful being introduced to the big dogs in her foster home, Kanga tends to be very submissive but is quick to play. When she is overwhelmed or startled she goes straight to her people for comfort.
Both do absolutely amazing in the car and are doing great with being crate trained.
We are working on potty training and puppy manners.

My story

I was raised on a small farm just one back road away from my forever home. Growing up we always had a random assortment of animals roaming around. My grandparents had the coolest chicken coop, my cousin and I could often be found playing inside it. I decided a long time ago that my children would grow up the same way I did, in the same small town with a random assortment of animals roaming around. And they are, from the dogs, to the chickens, the cows, and the donkeys...

June 2013, After months of negotiation, several trips to the attorney, and one Very large check I stood in the middle of a 15 acre field holding a piece of paper that stated it was mine. My Grandfather was a tough negotiator, but keeping his favorite granddaughter close to home was worth losing his best hay field. By the end of 2014 I had dumped my life savings into the long process of building my forever home. Before the grass started to grow my wheels were turning. I knew what I wanted to do.

2016 saw the build of the first chicken coop. A hand-me-down coop connected to a hand-me-down dog kennel. Nothing fancy, but it would do, Right? My first 8 little chicken babies came home in a card board box from the local Tractor Supply. That did it, I was hooked. By 2018 the original 24 sq foot raised coop was replaced with a hand built 100 sq ft walk in coop, with the same original dog kennel, and an extension run off the back. Next thing I knew I had multiple incubators, built a grow out coop, and a brooder in the shed... I was hatching babies from some amazing local breeders! Have you seen that meme “I don’t have ducks in a row... I have chickens and they are EVERYWHERE!” well, that was me.

2018 I started selling eggs to friends and family, just a few here and there... I was fascinated with the misconceptions people had about chickens and eggs. I found that I truly enjoyed educating people on the real facts. By 2019 I had a plan. I was going to make this adventure a little more fulfilling. I decided to invest in myself, to do something more. January 2020 started with my first delivery of eggs to be sold in a real store, Okay Stewart’s Grocery, a small convenient store in our little town, managed by my aunt. But still, my eggs were in the refrigerator case in a store!... and guess what? They sold! With my head filled with excitement, I got online and ordered a case of egg cartons that arrived in a box that could almost fit my refrigerator inside! Next came a real logo, and that logo arrived on stickers for the egg cartons. Next came page, and a real email!
