Some bittersweet news to share…
After 18+ months of incredible w**e, great people, and way too many fun tastings — Village W**e will be closing its doors on December 20th.
Taking over this shop has been one of the most fun, crazy, rewarding things I’ve ever done, and a huge part of that has been you — the people (both Langley locals and visitors from all over the country) who wandered in on a Saturday, let me ramble on about my latest favorite PNW bottle or producer, showed up to tasting events, supported
the w**e club, hung out at the bar with a glass, and made this place feel like a little community instead of just a store.
The short version of why: I had hoped to do this for a lot longer than 18+ months, but plans had to change. This has been a labor of love, and I’ve reached a point where I
need my time to go toward something different. It’s not a decision I wanted to make, but it’s the right one for right now, and I’m grateful I took the leap and got to do this at all.
Here’s what’s ahead 👇
🍷 Now–early Dec: business as usual! The shelves will stay stocked with old and new favorites, and I’ve still got some fun holiday tasting events planned, so stay tuned.
🏷 Dec 9–20: closing sales. I’ll be marking things down to clear out the shelves, so watch for more details on the exact deals and dates. If there’s a bottle you’ve been eyeing, a case you’ve been meaning to grab, or you just want to stock up for the end-of-year holidays, this will be the chance.
✨ And with all endings come new beginnings, so there’s some very exciting news to end with — the story of this space on 2nd Street isn’t ending on December 20th! I’m
delighted to share that two local residents will be taking over to open a new w**e bar and bottle shop, with a targeted opening in early 2027, ensuring great w**e options
remain right here in Langley for our local community. More details to come!
This shop has been one of the most fun things I’ve ever done, and that’s because of all of you. So let’s make these last few months count — come see me, grab a glass, and let’s celebrate what this place has been.
