🚨🚨WE NEED HELP🚨🚨

As most of you know I started Takeout Takeout with nothing. It was nothing more than an idea in my head when I first started meeting with Jerry at The Fledge. Then it grew into a reality with Abundance Cafe and Apple Blossom Kombucha when we did our first pilot and diverted over 4,200 single-use items from landfills. Since then, the recognition of Takeout Takeout and the support for reuse in the community has become more than I ever imagined.

🏳️‍🌈There is an opportunity to bring Takeout Takeout and the reuse movement on a bigger stage at Lansing Pride. Local LGBTQ+ affirming churches have agreed to let us have water refill stations at their booths that is completely free to Lansing Pride attendees while supplies last!

💧Guests will be able to fill their own water bottle or use one of our reusable cups. We will collect our cups on-site then wash and sanitize for reuse at future Lansing events.

❓The problem? The churches hosting us need additional funding to support this project. This is where you come in!

Hey Lansing, we see you!!!

Most of us have heard the phrase "reduce, reuse. recycle" but the world didn't set up systems to help us reduce and reuse. There's only large-scale infrastructure for recycle and trash... However, we see you in the community doing your best to make sure things get reused.

Takeout Takeout is for everyone who has lost kitchen space to store extra containers in hopes of one day reusing them. We're for the people who store them in a garage, basement, or closet waiting for it to be warm enough to take them to recycling. This is for the people who are confused by the recycling system and sometimes question how effective recycling really is. This is for everyone who feels overwhelmed and hopeless when it comes to saving our planet. And of course, to my people who stare at collection bins too long trying to figure out how to properly sort things. This is a labor of love all for you!

We're relaunching in "closed loop" spaces with a goal to add on "open loop" systems again in the future.

We believe reuse should be easy, so we want to takeout the hassle.

Takeout Takeout is a full-service reusable food ware operations service located in the heart of downtown Lansing. Just rent, return, and we'll make sure all items get reused.

FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY Lansing area residents will be able to bring reusables to their smaller events. If you manage a venue or will be hosting a graduation party this summer we want to hear from you!

Christmas came early this year in the form of unprompted emails and posts from my capstone students. I’m truly grateful that I got to work with such an amazing team and I’m so touched that they felt inspired by what I do and formed their own passions. I can’t wait to see what they do in the world.
