Hello from John and Deanna at Morning Star Farm! Here is a little about us and what we do at our farm. We are farmers rooted in our Christian faith and we are very grateful and blessed for what the Lord has given us. John's testimony alone portrays how thankful and blessed we are! We also do volunteer work at WMPC 1230 AM & 106.9 FM a Christian radio station, which is based out of Lapeer. We have been given so many blessings and do our best to encourage and support others. Farming is hardwork and long hours, but we enjoy working the land and watching new lives grow. Watching a newborn calf or newly hatched chicks figure out their surroundings and thrive is always so amazing! This life can be difficult yet so rewarding.
Our farm is a small farm located just outside Lapeer, Michigan where we sell hay, straw, firewood, beef cattle and farm fresh eggs. Both square and round bales of hay and straw are typically available. We grow both grass hay and alfalfa mix hay. We sell a mix of hardwood firewood (that we harvest from the acres of woods we own) by the face cord in split or unsplit logs, and in varying lengths depending on customer preference. In order to preserve our wooded acres for beauty and wildlife habitats, we only take deadfall out of the woods for firewood (and there is plenty of it!). We raise a small herd of Herefords and typically have a few calves for sale each year, as well as raise a couple calves for beef each year. If interested in a portion of beef, please don't hesitate to reach out to us! We almost always have farm fresh eggs available also. We do offer delivery of hay/straw/firewood for a small fee based on location. We are currently not an "open to the public farm", but we are open for pickup of goods by appointment only please. Please reach out to us via text/email/messenger/phone with any questions or to place an order. Thank you for visiting our farm page and please check back for updates!
