Brian dedicated his life to Lapeer schools!! 1995 state championship, football coach for 24 years, wrestling coach for 7, worked for the schools maintenance and on the fields for the last 3 1/2 years.

Our next stop on the High School Football Mt. Rushmore Tour takes us to Lapeer, where Mike Smith's 266 career victories make him one of the winningest coaches in Michigan high school football history.

Mike Smith: A Hall of Fame coach whose career included nine conference championships and decades of success in Lapeer.

Jeff Putnam: The coach who guided Lapeer West to an undefeated season and the 1995 state championship. Putman would also move on to Davison, where he also found success on the gridiron.

Jake Long: A dominant Lapeer East lineman who became an All-American at Michigan and the No. 1 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft.

Three spots are filled. One remains.
Lapeer fans, who are we missing? Who deserves the final spot on Lapeer's Football Mt. Rushmore?

Tomorrow September 26th is Brian’s birthday. He would have turned 48. Let’s celebrate his birthday and life. His coworkers in the Maintenance department at Lapeer Schools honored him today by wearing their B.Moore/ Moore’s Market shirts to work today. If you have one, wear it for him tomorrow, if you don’t, wear green. Green was his favorite color. We miss you so much Brian. Be safe!!
