Winter prep!
Very warm water soaking 2 pans of Henhouse Reserve and added corn. Will let it sit for about 30 min/1 hour to let it soak up the water then ill take it out. I have 18 hens 1 rooster. 2 quarts (8 cups) Henhouse Reserve and 1 quarts (4 cups) cracked corn. They normally do not get added corn except in the winter to help fuel their little furnaces a bit. They love it and theres never any left by end of day.

Annd Im back(vacation)! First time in a LONG time my fridge has zero eggs in it! Can't wait to go collect today!
Pasture raised hens that eat what they find outside and variety blend Kalmbach Henhouse Reserve along w scraps and are given free choice calcium and treats of fruit and freeze dried mealworms. I have 18 girls and 1 roo named Fabio cause his hair is that fabulous (he's a Polish).
My girls are producing some top notch healthy eggs! My eggs are immediately refrigerated, unwashed unless visibly dirty.
My flock is young so don't be surprised if you get double egg yolks!
