Lee was devoted to his wife Susie, loved his family, loved the ranch and his cows. There was never a bad day with Lee. His smile made everyday a great day. The memories we have will be cherished forever. He was truly one of kind. He will be missed dearly 🕊

As the dust has settled, THANK YOU just doesn't seem enough! This sale wouldn't have been possible without the village that surrounds us and has helped us over the years. So buckle in, this a long post.

A HUGE Thank You to:

- Jason Deckert and Jasmine Duhon for coming up in May to help turn stallions out and for the countless long phone calls.

- The Moresheads for always being here and taking the many phone calls and always giving up days to come help on the ranch! Krista Moreshead and Cody for all their help in producing the catalog and the late deadlines 🙃. Rylie Moreshead you missed another sale it better not happen again! Thank you Tannon Moreshead for all your help behind the scenes.

- Ema Grace Hermann , Jim DeHart , Caitlin Garcia and Caroline Tipolt for also giving up days to come play with the ponies, helping us keep things going at the sale and throughout the year on the ranch!

- Sally Dalles for joining the halter breaking process this year and everything else that goes into it. Your a great neighbor and friend and it was blast having you there.

- Hunter Thomas for coming up the week before wrangling your little brother and spending the evenings in the meadow taking pictures and whatever else was needed.

- The behind the scene crew that came the weekend before and after sale to help set up and tear down (WOW pretty sure we got that done in record time!)

- The Frye family Anna Rose Frye Wrustler Frye, the amazing job you guys did not only in training those boys but all the work and marketing on social media.

- Catherine Elizabeth Dawson for helping clerk the sale. Which is a special treat as she is family that lives in Texas. Is this becoming an annual thing? We hope so and we love it!

- Dave and Dana from Alpine Animal Hospital for the health inspections and being our Vet for over 28 years!

- Roger Lorenzi for the brand inspections. And always answering the call and the multiple trips you make to the ranch.

- Brad and Beth Clingman for not only helping us in the hayfield but on the ranch throuhout the year.

We are incredibly blessed with these friends that have turned into our family! ❤️

It's been 2️⃣8️⃣ years with these partners but the friendship has been longer and we couldn't imagine doing this with anyone else. THANK YOU Merritt Quarter Horses and Dianne Van Pelt. Thank you Carrie Frisbee and Jeff Marsh Blue 9 Quarter Horses for being apart of this sale and Owen Johnson for carrying on some of Dicks breeding, I'm sure he is proud watching those babies go through the ring.

And finally, there is YOU, our CUSTOMERS and FRIENDS! Without you, we wouldn't be here 2️⃣8️⃣ years later. We are proud of these horses but we are just so thankful that these horses have brought you here and we have built so many friendships because of it.

Our hearts are shattered. Please keep the Hamaker family in your thoughts and prayers 🙏

This is Daniel Beard writing this,

Ty asked me to post something for the Company that might be a message from the family letting people know what happened. We are all broken hearted and grieving. What are the right words? I don’t know. What should we do? I don’t know. I don’t know how the last few days have gone by, or how to get through the next moments. I don’t how to say this, so I will just say it.

Hayes Ryan Hamaker, the 6-year-old son of Ty and Alison Hamaker, died in a ranch accident on August 13, 2026.

There was not a sweeter boy than Hayes. I know kids aren’t perfect, but Hayes was a real one. He had a smile for everyone. In every picture that’s been posted, he’s grinning from ear to ear. That’s because he was usually smiling. He was cheerful and kind hearted. He loved people. He made friends with every person on the rodeo grounds within an hour of arriving. That’s not an exaggeration. You’d look up from unloading or setting up camp and ask, “Where’s Hayes?” And he’d come around the corner with three adults and six kids who were already in love with him.

Hayes would get close when he was talking to you and look at you eye to eye. Really look at you. You could tell he was vibing with what you were feeling. He was trying to understand not just what you were saying but how you worked as a person.

Ty and Alison, Hayes was a special young man. We all loved him. We all love you. We are all crying, praying, grieving, questioning, wondering, remembering, celebrating a life that was beautiful. Hayes was a blessing to all of us.

The last couple days have been horrible. All of our plans are shattered and we (the rodeo friends) are reacting to things minute by minute and feeling by feeling. You can imagine how the family is doing.

The Hamakers will be staying home during the Gooding Rodeo.

Many people have asked what is the best way to help? I don’t know the answer. I know the family knows the huge amount of prayers that are being prayed for them. Please keep praying for Ty and Alison, and the Hamaker family. There have been many messages and inquiries to the family. That is appreciated but causes its own stress. I think that’s one reason why Ty asked me to post something.

This might be the safe spot to pour out your love, support, and kind thoughts and would still allow the Hamakers the space for grieving.

We appreciate you all. Thank you all, from the grieving hearts of the Summit family.
