Two months in the making! 🍯🧄🐝

Our fermented honey garlic is finally ready! George is giving each jar the finishing touch by topping it off with a little fresh, raw honey from our own hives.

For the past two months, the garlic has been slowly fermenting in our raw honey, creating that sweet, garlicky goodness we’ve been patiently waiting for.

And there’s a reason honey and garlic have been treasured for generations! Both are naturally rich in antioxidants and beneficial plant compounds. Garlic contains compounds such as allicin, while raw honey contains antioxidants and has natural antimicrobial properties. Together, they make a pretty special combination — and it tastes delicious, too!

Two months of patience, our own raw honey, lots of garlic, and now it’s finally ready. 💙

From our hives to the jar — made right here at La Gorra Azul Ranch.

One of our most asked questions lately: How do we keep our hens safe and comfortable when it’s 108° outside? 🐔☀️

South Texas heat is no joke, so keeping our girls cool is a priority around here.

💦 Misters for cooling
🌳 Plenty of shade
💧 Sprinklers to help cool their area
🚰 Lots of fresh, clean water
🌬️ Fans running in the hen house
🍉 And on extra-hot days… ice-cold watermelon!

They definitely don’t complain about that last one. 😂🍉

Taking care of animals means adjusting with the weather and doing what we can to keep them comfortable, healthy and safe — even on the hottest summer days.

Another new addition to the ranch! 🐂💙

We recently purchased an Auto Easy Feeder, and we are already loving it!

It allows us to feed our cattle at designated times each day and control exactly how much feed they receive. It’s a simple way to keep their feeding schedule consistent while making daily chores a little more efficient.

There’s always something new to learn and something to improve around the ranch, and we think this one is going to be a great addition to La Gorra Azul Ranch!

A new tool + a little ranch ingenuity! 🐂🤠

Today was our first day putting our new Bovine Blaster to work to help with fly control on our cattle.

Of course, we couldn’t just leave it at that… George figured out how to repurpose an old dolly so we could secure the Bovine Blaster in the back of the truck and take it right where we need it.

Sometimes ranching is about having the right equipment—and sometimes it’s about figuring out how to make that equipment work even better!

George gives you a look at our setup and how it worked on day one. We’re excited to see how it does! 🪰🐂

Some of the greatest ranch lessons aren’t taught from a book. They’re learned one arrowhead, one fence line, and one adventure at a time.

Little Ranch Girl loves hunting for arrowheads with her Grandpa George, and while they’re searching for pieces of history, he’s quietly shaping her future. The greatest treasure she’ll find out here isn’t an arrowhead—it’s the time, patience, and memories she shares with him. 🤍
