Honoré Farm and Mill

Established in 2016, Honoré Farm & Mill is a non-profit focused on restoring the vitality of wheat and the land upon which it grows through education.

Honore’s vision is to transform food and farm systems so that they reflect reverence and the regenerative capacities that are present both in the wheat fields and within us. The regeneration of one is dependent on the regeneration of the other. The centerpiece of this vision will be the creation of a care farm: a hub for the cultivation of heritage grains, where farmers, educators, artists, and learners come together in kinship with the land and each other.

Check out Rivian’s latest blog (link in bio) all about our Flour Power adventure from Vermont to California! Rivian lent Honore a top-of-the-line R1T making the zero emissions journey possible. The truck hauled our nearly 6,000lb trailer with ease for 3,800 miles! We love their telling of the adventure and hope you do, too!

Thank you to Amanda and the team for such a warm welcome and the delicious Hourani sandwich loaves and boules.

We were touched to share our final stop with some of Honoré’s biggest supporters after 3,845 miles on the road.

The mill is home!

So lovely to stop by in Ogden, Utah yesterday afternoon! Chase baked delicious pecan shortbread with Hourani for our demonstration. One attendee was quite moved by our work and shared that with so many distractions and challenges in the world right now, she is lightened by the work Honoré and those working in local grains are doing. Thank you for hosting us, Chase and Celeste! Next stop: Thursday at 9am!

Steve and the team at Rivian’s beautiful Denver showroom welcomed Honoré this afternoon. We had fun highlighting Honoré and Rivian’s shared goals on climate and about how well the R1T Rivian lent us has done on the 2,500+ miles so far! Next stop: Wild Shaped Bakery () in Ogden, UT!

Great to meet the team at Moxie Feed + Seed in North Boulder this morning! Such kindred spirits in working with heirloom whole grains from local farmers. Moxie is a founding member of the Colorado Grain Chain which promotes the use of heritage, ancient, and local grain products while supporting farmers in transitioning to regenerative agricultural practices that improve soil health and sequester carbon.
