These are 2 beautiful vegetarian sheepskin rugs made by a couple of different talented people from our ewe, IB Sandstorm. I guess she is a keeper.

Got these really neat photos of the sheep last night. It had been overcast and the evening sun broke through and caught the brilliant colors. Folks have commented on the beautiful green grass. Of course it's irrigated as we are in the Chihuahuan desert but we also make use of a wonderful by - product of having sheep and that's manure. We spread nice composted sheep manure on it and water it. You can also add scrap wool to your composting manure as it is great in helping your soil retain moisture as well as a good source of nitrogen. The grass loves it as you can see, and is much better in my opinion than expensive commercial fertilizer. Even if you don't have a pasture or your own garden to spread it on, it could be another source of income from your sheep as a lot of gardeners love to get ahold of it.

4J Jumpin Jack Flash got pressed into emergency service last fall as a 10 month old lamb when his sire suffered an injury and was unable to breed. He got all his ewes in lamb and we got some colorful ones.

Several years ago, when I was just getting started with Churros, I saw this picture of a ram, ALS Cowboy on All Smiles Sheep and Wool website. I really like browns and so decided decided to make the trip from near the border of Mexico to near the border of Canada to get some of his lambs. It was fun and we wound up hauling Sheep back down here for other folks as well. I love the Cowboy influence on my fleeces. Soft handling, low kemp and high volume. I kept this guy back, 4J CHAPARRAL to see how his fleece turns out. His lamb fleece was super nice and of course brown. He is a great grand son of ALS Cowboy and it's really uncanny for the resemblance. A chip off the old block generations down. I really hope his adult fleece cuts the mustard but looking good now.
