One year ago, we decided it was time to bring something new and exciting to our business. Lemonade had always been part of what we offered, but as more lemonade options became available throughout our area, I saw an opportunity to bring a traditional cultural drink to our community, while also giving me the freedom to experiment with new flavors and bring even more of our cultura into what we serve.

That’s when Little Monsters Aguas Frescas began.
We showed up to the Hatch Chile Festival with just 8 flavors, not knowing that this one decision would completely change the direction of our business.

Fast forward one year, and we’re back at the same festival where it all started but this time, things look a little different. From 8 original flavors, to 35 flavors created and 15 customer favorites that we now serve weekly at the Farmers Market!

Over the past year, we have been incredibly fortunate to have some very successful events. We’ve experienced long lines, sold-out flavors, returning customers, and events that completely exceeded our expectations.

But this weekend was different.

This weekend’s Hatch Chile Festival was by far our most successful event yet!

There is something so special about having our biggest event ever happen at the exact same place where our Aguas Frescas journey began one year ago. It truly feels like everything came full circle.

Seeing how much our Aguas Frescas have grown in just one year is something I’m incredibly proud of.
What started as an idea to bring something different to our customers has become one of the biggest parts of Enchanted Sweets. Every returning customer, every person who tells their friends about us, every long line, every sold-out flavor, and every single cup purchased has helped us get here.

To everyone who took a chance on that first cup a year ago and everyone who continues coming back week after week, THANK YOU🖤

See you next weekend at the Farmers Market and on the Plaza in Old Mesilla both Saturday and Sunday.

Wow, what a weekend 🖤

My family and I are incredibly grateful for everyone who stopped by and supported us yesterday at both the Farmers Market and the Hatch Chile Festival! The turnout at both locations was absolutely incredible!

And we’re not finished yet!

We’re heading back to the Hatch Chile Festival today for another amazing day filled with New Mexico culture, incredible food, Hatch chile, and of course fresh Aguas Frescas.

Just to give you an idea of how crazy this weekend has been.

We loaded in 2,400 pounds of ice for this event! Yes, 2,400 pounds. That’s how many ice cold aguas we sold!

Running two locations, preparing everything, paying vendor fees, hauling supplies, loading thousands of pounds of ice, and keeping those aguas flowing takes our whole family working together and seeing so many of you come out to support our small business makes every bit of that work worth it🤘🏻

We truly appreciate every person who waited in line, grabbed an agua, told a friend about us, came back for another one, or simply stopped by to say hello. Your continued support means more to our family than you know.

Hatch Chile festival, Round two

Come find Enchanted Sweets today and grab an ice cold Agua Fresca while enjoying one of New Mexico’s most iconic celebrations!

THANK YOU, NEW MEXICO!
We’ll see you in Hatch!

I’ve been a little quiet lately, but that’s because I’ve been VERY busy behind the scenes!

We’re getting ready for an incredibly busy fall season, and I seriously cannot wait! September through the end of the year is going to be packed with some amazing events, including several of the biggest and most loved celebrations in our area.

In fact, we already have Farmers Markets and special events scheduled every weekend throughout September and October! I’m so grateful that Enchanted Sweets gets to be part of so many events that celebrate our community, our traditions, and our beautiful Southern New Mexico culture.

I’ll be sharing our complete schedule soon, but here are two events you’ll definitely be able to catch us at:

HATCH CHILE FESTIVAL
September 4th and 5th in Hatch, New Mexico.

Of course we couldn’t go to Hatch without doing something special! We’ll be bringing some amazing chile inspired Aguas Frescas created especially for the festival.

The Hatch Chile Festival is so much more than a festival, it celebrates one of the things Southern New Mexico is known for around the world. Hatch chile! Our chile is deeply connected to our agriculture, food, families, and traditions. People travel from all over to experience authentic New Mexico chile, meet local growers and vendors, enjoy our food and music, and get a taste of what makes this part of New Mexico so special.

There’s truly nothing like the smell of fresh green chile roasting in New Mexico especially Saturdays at the Farmers Market.

DIEZ Y SEIS DE SEPTIEMBRE
September 12th & 13th in Historic Old Mesilla

This one is especially meaningful because September 16th commemorates the beginning of Mexico’s fight for independence from Spain in 1810. It is Mexico’s Independence Day, a celebration of freedom, history, culture, and the traditions that continue to be passed from generation to generation.

Celebrating Diez y Seis de Septiembre in Historic Old Mesilla makes it even more special. Mesilla itself is a place filled with history, culture, and heritage, and its annual Diez y Seis celebration brings our community together to honor those traditions.

For me, these aren’t just opportunities to sell our products. They’re opportunities to celebrate our culture, traditions, food, art, history, and community that inspire so much of what I create.
If you’ve ever spent time in Old Mesilla, you know exactly what I mean when I say it has a vibe that is completely one of a kind, you can actually feel it.

And we are just getting started!

September and October are completely packed, and we have even more coming through the end of the year. I’ve been working nonstop on new products, handmade creations, displays, and lots of surprises that I cannot wait to finally share with everyone.

Thank you for continuing to support Enchanted Sweets and allowing this little business of mine to keep growing year after year🤘🏻

Stay tuned, our Fall season is going to be AMAZING!

These are so cute! They will be available at the farmers market soon.

More Mini Creations! Handmade Mini Lotería Games!

I’ve been busy adding even more tiny handmade pieces to my collection, and this time I’m making miniature Lotería games! Each little set includes the colorful tablas (5”x5”) tiny playing cards the size of beans and of course, beans to mark the cards just like many of us remember playing with our families.

Lotería has been a beloved part of Mexican culture for generations. The game originated in Europe and was brought to Mexico during the colonial period, where it eventually developed its own distinctly Mexican identity.

Similar to bingo, instead of calling out numbers, a caller draws a card while players mark the matching pictures on their tabla. Traditionally, beans, coins, bottle caps, or whatever was nearby could be used as markers. The first person to complete the winning pattern calls out “Lotería.”

For so many families, Lotería is more than a game. It brings back memories of sitting around the table with our parents, grandparents, cousins, tías and tíos laughing, competing and making memories together.

That nostalgia is exactly why I wanted to recreate it in miniature handmade form. From the tiny cards to the little tablas and beans, I love taking pieces of our cultura and turning them into something you can hold in the palm of your hand.

These little Lotería sets will be another fun addition to all the miniature Mexican pieces I’ve been creating for my upcoming Día de Mu***os projects and events.

There is still SO much more coming. Stay tuned as my miniature collection continues to grow🤘🏻

One of my favorite things about being part of the Farmers Market is the community we’ve built with one another.

We may all have our own businesses, products, and booths, but behind the scenes, we’re constantly supporting each other. We shop from one another, recommend each other to customers, share resources, lend a hand when someone needs it, and genuinely want to see each other succeed. There’s room for all of us to grow!

Just look at some of the amazing things we bring home from our fellow vendors:

🦇Creosote bush (the best smell in New Mexico, when it rains this plant smells like wet dirt) from Bodhi’s Farm
🦇Local honey from Enchanted Land Honey
🦇Dehydrated mushrooms from Full Circle Mushrooms
🦇Fresh bread from Sun Country Kitchen
🦇Delicious chamoy from Chilaso Spices
🦇Not pictured organic figs from Joshua a local market farmer
🦇Not pictured a sack of dry hot red chile from Martinez farmers
🦇Not pictured a sack of roasted green chile

This is what shopping local is all about. When you support one small business at the Farmers Market, that support continues to circulate throughout our community. Small businesses support other small businesses. We buy from each other, recommend each other, collaborate, share ideas, and help one another whenever we can.

I’m so grateful to be surrounded by so many talented farmers, growers, crafters, makers, bakers, artists, and entrepreneurs. We aren’t simply vendors who happen to set up next to each other every Saturday we’re a community, and we truly help each other grow.

So when you come to the Farmers Market, take some time to walk around and discover all the amazing local businesses. Try something new, meet the people behind the products, and know that every purchase you make means so much more than you realize.

Support local. Shop small. Support each other. Grow together.

What an AWESOME day at the Farmers Market!

Our Aguas Frescas continue to become more and more popular throughout our local community, and we’ve also been meeting so many tourists visiting the area who stop by the Farmers Market and discover us for the first time. We absolutely love introducing visitors to all of the different flavors we make!

And something we’ve definitely noticed lately… our original 32 oz cups are still the most requested! Even though we introduced our traditional Mexican style vitrolito and Calavera cups, so many of you continue asking for the original 32 oz cups that we started with. We love that they’ve become something people recognize and associate with Enchanted Sweets!

What started as something we simply loved making has grown into something so many people now look forward to every weekend. From our traditional flavors to our fun and unique combinations, every Agua Fresca is made fresh with real ingredients!

Thank you to our amazing local community, our regular customers, and everyone visiting from out of town who chooses to support our small business.

Another amazing Farmers Market Saturday in the books!

I’m creating miniature snack bags featuring 12 different flavors of chips! Every little package is being made to look like the snacks so many of us grew up eating and still love today.
