A little pumpkin is on the way....and we wanted to make sure the celebration included a touch of sweet and a touch of cuteness.

It's a joy to be creative with cakes and cookies and other bakery items. But, sometimes it's more joyful to partner with the community.

Collaborating with Empower Ability Center provides us the chance to work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Giving them the ability to practice real-life skills is a delight to myself and my team.

One day a week we get treated to a visit from participants of Empower Ability Center and they help us with various tasks in our kitchen. From filling ingredient bins, to wrapping cookies, to baking brownies, their talents help us accomplish tasks while giving them the opportunity to feel competent.

We had so much fun at the this year. We met many couples planning their wedding and loved sharing a bit of cheesecake, chocolate truffles and custom sugar cookies.
