-BRIEF BIO-
Several years ago back in the year 2007, myself, Victor Lopez and my classmate Michael Dacanay found ourselves in the Purchasing and Product Identification class at the Art Institute of Las Vegas. We were at a place which fostered our talents and pushed us to new heights. He and I learned the concepts and theories, skills, ethics, and art form known as Culinary Arts. When we found ourselves at the end of this road we began another in separate directions. Mike went forward as a prep cook and I became a manager at an Asian seafood market; however, each of our paths led further and further away from the culinary industry for one reason or another. I went on to further my education in the field of psychology and Mike went forth with his education by honing his culinary skills and working on his new focus in Business Management. He now runs a Sports and Memorabilia shop while still going to school. "This is a field where you will love it, hate it, then fall in love with it all over again." -Chef Bernard. I never knew those words would hold their meaning... until recently. With nearly half of 2011 in the past, and the changes in our lives occurring, Mike and I found ourselves back at it again! (Also at each others throats once more hahaha) In our own unique ways we have relearned and rekindled our love for all that encompasses the culinary world. Let me ask you this question. What do you do when you love something or someone to the extent of not knowing how to love that something or someone any further? Simple answer: You share and express that love to others! This is where YOU come in.

Q: What services does VLMD Personal Culinary Services offer? A: A general overview of the services we offer consist of the "three P's", Personal Chef, Personal Catering, and Personal Instruction (lessons). This means that you can enjoy and experience professionally prepared food at the comfort of your own home! You also have a service where you can learn, hands on, just how fun and exciting the culinary world can be! Q: If I were to purchase your services, how would the process play out start to finish? A: To begin, you would email or call us and we will set up an appointment at your earliest convenience to discuss such topics: Cook date and / or instruction date, menu and customization such as special wants and special needs, food sensitivities, and payment. 50% of down payment is our requirement which we use to fund groceries and other expenses. From there we arrive at your home on your cook or instruction date and prepare your meals from scratch. We provide this service using our own tools and equipment and staff. We are entertaining and professional and we leave you with a clean place with the aromas of your custom creations and the hope that you spread the word and purchase our service in the future! Q: I like what I see! But these prices... Perhaps you could explain them better where I would be more inclined to purchase your service. A: Let's say you have relatives in town and you wanted to go out to a nice place for dinner. From your house to the restaurant and back would cost you an expense in gas. We offer a marginal fraction of that expense to be included in our service ultimately passing the savings on to you! Now lets say you get to the restaurant. Inside is a variable crowd of people and perhaps a grumpy waiter or waitress who is not having the best day. Beverages like water are delayed and even worse, your food is not punctual and in fact is prepared in an "assembly line" fashion. We know this industry and better yet, we know how to fix whats wrong. Through our service we arrive at your home and decorate. Our passionate and dedicated wait staff starts and ends serving you in a way worthy of that perfect moment! Our food is prepared from scratch and the aromas fill your house. We bring the fine dining experience to the comfort of your own home! Lastly we ask for no tip or gratuity. Our prices factor in our income already and that only means one thing. You pay for fresh, quality ingredients. An incredible and intimate moment with your loved ones: priceless.
