A dirty little secret that could change your life.
Did you know that your dishwasher has a filter and it needs to be cleaned?
When we moved into our home a few months ago our dishwasher was caked with hard water residue and the filters were clogged.
After replacing the filters with new ones and cleaning the dishwasher using various techniques that I found online, thank you Youtube, my dishes are sparkling. (CLR, vinegar) I do clean my filter at least once a week. It is a simple process.

Calendula Salve
Such a popular product. Customers rave about how his salve has helped heal their dry skin, cracked heels, eczema, and other skin ailments. I like to use it on burns and bug bites. Once again the oil used as a base has been infused with the Our Farm Calendula flowers.

I have recently become aware that some candles are made of paraffin—a petroleum byproduct—which releases carcinogenic soot into the air when burned. I wanted to make sure all of the candles I burn were safe. To my surprise, I couldn't find an ingredient list on any of the candles in my home. I threw them away and decided to make my own.
Our Farm candles are made with organic beeswax, organic coconut oil, organic cocoa butter, and spices. The house smelled amazing when these were coming together.
These candles are part of the Our Farm Holiday Crate which will also feature:
Calendula Tea made from Our Farm Flowers, Goat milk Oatmeal Cinnamon Soap, Calendula Salve, Wintergreen Lip Balm, Bath bombs.

Alcohol or vinegar?
One of our best crops this year has been the Calendula flower. We chose to grow this herb/flower for its medicinal properties. The question we want to pose to you is this:
Calendula tincture is made with ethanol 60, vodka, rum, or brandy or it can be made with apple cider vinegar. If consumed the dilution ratio is 1 part tincture to 48 parts water.

A basket full of sunshine! 🌞 Every day that it doesn’t rain I harvest Calendula. This is an amazing herb. I use it to infuse oils to make holistic products with healing properties.
This herb is also edible with many health benefits. The fresh flower can be used as a garnish to brighten up your salad or cupcakes.
Dried calendula makes a wonderful tea.
There is so much more I can say about this herb. I am grateful that our harvest is bountiful.
