On Sunday we unwind with a refreshing
Bat City Mezcal Mule…
Ingredients
* 1.5 oz Mezcal (a smoky, artisanal brand like Sombra is great)
* 0.75 oz Black Infusions Gold Apricot
* 0.75 oz Fresh lime juice
* 0.5 oz Hibiscus syrup (store-bought or easily made by reducing equal parts brewed hibiscus tea and sugar)
* 3 oz High-quality ginger beer
* Garnish: Lime wheel, edible flower, or a sprig of fresh mint
Instructions
1. Prep: If you are using a copper mug or rocks glass, fill it to the brim with crushed or cubed ice to chill the vessel.
2. Shake: In a cocktail shaker, combine the mezcal, apricot liqueur, fresh lime juice, and hibiscus syrup. Add ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until thoroughly chilled.
3. Strain: Strain the chilled mixture into your prepared glass over fresh ice.
4. Top & Stir: Top with your favorite ginger beer, and give it a gentle, swift stir to integrate all the layers.
5. Garnish: Finish the drink by adding a lime wheel or a sprig of fresh mint.
