We took a break from book work studies this morning to bring in the dry bean harvest.
Pulling plants, bunching, tying, hanging, and babysitting takes a crew.
The bean plants will dry down for a week or two and then we will shell the pods. Can’t wait! They are our favorite dry beans. Black outside, brown inside and so rich and meaty.

This beef cow has been a project. When we got Sarah, from my dad’s farm in KY, she went from being sweet and friendly, to suspicious and convinced we wanted to murder her. It’s taken two years to calm her down and build relationship. Now she thinks we plan to eliminate her only a quarter of the time. At least it’s improvement!

🍎Custom farm market/produce stand for sale!!🍏

The building is 8’x8’ and custom built for a market/produce stand. It has 4 wall flaps with clear panels, so they can be raised for selling and airflow, while providing mini porches for customers and items on display. The clear panels let in light while lowered during windy or inclement weather.
The building is stained with Australian Timber Oil and has 2 walk through half-doors. There are interior shelves to hold supplies and a cash box and exterior shelves for displaying your wares.
We can load the building onto a trailer for you.

⭐️Garlic scapes are a true culinary delight! They are delicious sautéd, grilled like asparagus, or pickled like dilly beans!🌱 Bring some garlicky flavor to any dish.
⭐️Although they are ONLY available one time a year, they keep fresh in the fridge for months when kept in a bag or chop them up and throw them in the freezer to be pulled out anytime of year.
⭐️Our scapes are always grown organically with zero chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides.

We have Jerusalem Artichoke starts for sale!
⭐️ Jerusalem Artichokes are a terrific native food and wildflower to grace any vegetable garden or flower bed. They are perennials and come back year after year. Their tubers/roots are edible and are comparable to potatoes and their flowers, resembling small sunflowers, are cheery and beautiful! These plants get very tall and can even be used as a hedge, reaching up to 10’!
⭐️ Each pot contains a sprouted tuber with healthy plant. $5 each.
