We’re stocked up for y’all! This was a 2 day labor of love. We’ll be out at Navarre Farmers' Market, LLC/Combs of Honey tomorrow morning at 0900 with pork, goat meat, eggs, and the long awaited whole chicken!

Dedication to this farm sometimes looks like long days, late nights, and doing whatever it takes to keep our word to our customers.

Our freight shipment for our new commercial-grade poultry processing equipment was delayed, and with birds ready to process, waiting simply wasn’t an option. These animals have been raised with purpose, our customers have been patiently waiting, and we weren’t willing to let a shipping delay put everything further behind.

So Cody loaded up and drove all the way to Dothan to pick up the equipment himself.

That’s the part of farming people don’t always see—the miles driven, the problems solved on the fly, the money reinvested, and the willingness to change plans when something isn’t working. We’re constantly learning, improving, and investing in better equipment so we can process efficiently, safely, and continue providing our community with quality, locally raised chicken.

There’s a reason we named this place Hard Fought Homestead. Nothing about building a farm from the ground up has come easy, but we’re committed to doing it well and doing right by the animals and the families who trust us to feed them.

Now it’s time to put this new setup to work. 🐓💪

We will be out at Navarre Farmers' Market, LLC/Combs of Honey Saturday morning with eggs, goat meat and pork! All of our animals are fed non gmo, corn and soy free fed. Chicken to come before the end of the month!

I wanted to update everyone that there will be a delay in chicken getting to your homes. The plan was to butcher this week but the birds have not grown the way we wanted because of the heat so we’re going to give them another week or two. If anyone would like to cancel their preorder please let us know.

Reposting what we currently have available as we continue downsizing the farm.

Lots of chickens all about 3 months old. Black Australorp, Barred Rocks and Silkies available.

Our Nigerian Dwarf herd is available for discussion. We have:

1 buck
1 Kiko wether
3 does
1 doe in milk without babies on her (working on drying her off currently)
5 does in milk with babies on them
11 babies total (7 boys and 4 girls)

We would love to see them go to good homes, whether individually or in groups. Serious, respectful inquiries only, please.
