🚨 Important Reminder Regarding Farm Visits 🚨

We LOVE the interest and support our community has shown Hard Fought Homestead, and we are always happy to answer questions about our products and coordinate purchases.

However, we need to make one thing very clear: Our farm is private property and is NOT open to the public for walk-ins or unannounced visits.

We had an individual show up at the farm today to inquire about purchasing products. While we appreciate the interest, showing up without prior communication or a confirmed appointment is not acceptable.

There are several reasons for this policy:

* Safety & Security: This is our family home, not a retail storefront. Our children live, learn, and play here, and their safety and privacy will always come first.
* Biosecurity: We raise livestock and poultry, and limiting unnecessary traffic onto the property is essential to protecting the health of our animals.
* Farm Operations: We are a working farm with daily responsibilities. We cannot accommodate unexpected visitors.

All farm pickups and visits must be arranged and confirmed in advance. Please contact us through our business page or business phone number before coming to the property.

We are incredibly grateful for every customer who chooses to support our small family farm, but supporting a small business also means respecting its boundaries.

Unannounced visits will not be accommodated. No exceptions.

Thank you for respecting our family, our animals, and our property.

⛈️ Storm Update from Hard Fought Homestead! 🐓🐷

We officially got power back around 6:30 last night after nearly 47 hours without electricity! 🙌

Thankfully, our generators kept our farm freezers, well, and chick heat plates up and running throughout the outage. We’ve had a few power flickers since it was restored, so we’re keeping the generators close by and ready to go, just in case!

We’re incredibly thankful to report very minimal losses on the farm and no structural damage. Considering what this storm brought through our area and our previous experience with Hurricane Michael we know just how blessed we are!

A HUGE thank you to all the linemen and crews who have been working tirelessly to restore power, clear roads, and get our communities back up and running. Your hard work and time away from your own families do not go unnoticed! ❤️

We’re feeling incredibly blessed, grateful, and relieved. Our thoughts and prayers remain with everyone still dealing with the aftermath of the storm. 🙏❤️

Enjoy some happy pigs and the sweet serenade of generator humming. 😂

We’re all safe! ❤️

Thankfully, our house, barn, and vehicles made it through the storm without any damage. We did lose a couple of our meat bird chicks due to the power outage and loss of heat plates, but overall, we’re incredibly grateful things weren’t worse.

We have several large trees and power lines down along our easement, blocking access to the main road. Right now, we’re working on getting our generators up and running while also lending a hand to neighbors with fallen tree removal and generator setups.

There’s plenty of cleanup ahead, but we’re thankful for our safety, our community, and the opportunity to help one another through it all.

Thank you to everyone who has checked in on us! Please continue to stay safe out there! ❤️

🌧️ Hurricane Update from Hard Fought Homestead 🌀

With Hurricane Isaias approaching, we will not be at Navarre Farmers' Market, LLC/Combs of Honey tomorrow morning.

If you need to stock up on chicken, pork, goat, or farm-fresh eggs, please reach out! We’re happy to help you get what you need before the weather worsens.

Thankfully, conditions at the farm are still relatively calm, so farm pickup is available for now! However, we anticipate our dirt road becoming impassable as the rain moves in more, possibly as early as this afternoon. We’ll keep everyone updated as conditions change.

We appreciate your understanding and support! Stay safe, get prepared, and check on your neighbors. ❤️

Hurricane prep looks a little different when you live on a farm. You’re not just worrying about your house, your kids or yourself. You also have livestock that depends on you for everything. Almost $400 in feed purchased today to make sure we’re well stocked in case of the worst. Shout out to Wooten Lumber & Ranch Supply for always having us covered for chicken and pig feed! We lived in Panama City during Hurricane Michael so we try to prepare for the worst always.

We will not be out at Navarre Farmers' Market, LLC/Combs of Honey this morning due to family being in town from out of state. On farm pick up is always available though!

We’ve been getting a lot of messages lately so let us reintroduce ourselves!

We’re a small family farm run by the Mazingo family in Laurel Hill, Florida, working hard to provide our community with fresh, wholesome food raised with care, intention, and honesty.

Our goal is simple: to raise food we feel good feeding our own family — and make it available to yours.

Here’s what we currently have in stock (9/1/26):

🥚 Farm Fresh Eggs
$8/dozen
From our laying hens, fed non-GMO, corn-free, soy-free feed.

🐓 Pasture-Raised Chicken
$6/lb
Rotationally grazed, raised outdoors with fresh air and sunshine, and fed non-GMO, corn-free, soy-free feed.

🐷 Pasture-Raised Pork
Pricing depends on cut.
Raised on rotation with room to move, root, and live like pigs should. Our pork is raised with care and transparency, with a focus on quality meat, healthy animals, and responsible land stewardship.

🐐Goat Meat
Pricing depends on cut.
Raised on rotation to snack on all the brush and supplemented with non GMO, corn/soy free grain.

🐔 Laying Hens & Pullets
Available seasonally depending on what we have growing out.
Pricing ranges from $20–$50 depending on breed, age, and availability.

At Hard Fought Homestead, we believe food should be raised with transparency, respect, and stewardship. We prioritize rotational grazing, quality feed, humane care, and practices that help improve the land instead of depleting it. Our animals are raised with intention — not rushed, not mass-produced, and not treated like inventory.

We are not a big operation, and we do not pretend to be. We are a first-generation family farm learning, growing, and doing our best to raise animals well and serve our local community faithfully.

Because we are small, availability changes often. Some items are seasonal, limited, or preorder only.

Thank you for supporting our family farm. Every order, share, referral, and kind word helps us continue doing this hard but meaningful work.

📍 Located in Laurel Hill, FL approximately 10 minutes north of the north Crestview Publix or we are also at Navarre Farmers' Market, LLC/Combs of Honey almost every Saturday.

Messaging/texting us to order is the fastest and easier way!
