Our "Natural Beef" receives no antibiotics or growth implants in feeding. About six weeks before delivery, we supplement the grass/hay diet with some corn to create marbling in the beef and giving it exceptional flavor. BP Land & Cattle Company, LLC is offering a 10 lb. package that consists of 4.5 lbs. of steaks, 2 to 3 lbs. of roast and the balance in beef kabobs, cube steak, or beef tips. Fall has been interesting and active around here. Haying has been completed, oats are planted and presently pushing to complete the planting of the winter grazing. Enjoyed meeting the Sarratt family at their production sale. Good fun and fellowship was enjoyed by all who attended. Needing rain, looks possible mid-week. Wishing the best to all!!!!!

Enjoyed good food and fellowship with good friends. Thanks to everyone for the support. It has been a good week for most. Need rain!!! Cooler weather is appreciated. Cattle looking better on new grass. Hope to see everyone at the FI market Saturday morning. Put BEEF on the menu!!!!

Looks as though we might have a good shot at rain next week. Farming or ranching is a quality of life that very few individuals have the pleasure to experience. Those that ask "What's with the farm?" will never learn. That's a lesson that Carolina doesn't teacher and Clemson don't offer. Getting ready to see all the great FOUNTAIN INN people at the market. Have a safe Labor Day weekend. Remember to serve BEEF!!!

Summer is about over. We're back in the saddle around here. Thanks to everyone for the support. George would say "Not here for a long time, but here for a good time." Life's better than good. We'll see our good friends at the Fountain Inn market in a few hours. Everyone continue to enjoy that BEEF. We don't ask that you serve it every meal, just twice a day will do.

Looking forward to the market in Fountain Inn. Always enjoy seeing the people and making new friends. Moved a group of heifers to a new paddock today. They are really liking the new grass. Put BEEF on the menu for next week! Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Worked the last herd today. Everything went well, very little conversation from everyone who helped, which is usually a good thing. A GOOD RAIN AND/OR A NEW BORN CALF ARE ALWAYS WELCOME AROUND HERE.

Jimmy, Thelma & Louise are on 24/7. If something happens to either, you'll be the 1st in line for consideration. We had a good day yesterday (worked a herd, baled hay) and ended the day with good fellowship with friends and neighbors.

06/30/2011

Plan to bale hay today. Everyone is catching on chores in order to head to the beach. You cann't beat youth!!! Place your orders for the beef packages. Have a Happy and Safe July 4th weekend.

What a lightning storm Monday night. It was fun to watch. Got much needed rain. Curious what the amount was. Will check the gauge at sunrise. Despite the drought throughtout the country, cattle prices continue to hold. If you haven't been to the Fountain Inn Market on Saturdays you are missing out.

06/25/2011

Spent sometime with a cancer survivor this week. I enjoyed the conversation. LIFE couldn't be better! Enjoy some BEEF on the grill this weekend.

06/24/2011

Bulls have fought for the past 24 hours. Something is in the air. Rain has continued each day and that is not a problem. Look forward to seeing all the folks at the market Saurday in Fountain Inn. THANKS for the SUPPORT!!!
