Im very excited with the new breeds Im planning to offer next season and what I’ve been growing out so far this year!
Breeds I’m hoping to offer spring/summer of 2027 are;
•English buff Orpington’s
•Salmon bantam Cochins
•calico/funfetti silkies
•Isabel cuckoo Orpington’s
•English porcelain & porcelain jubilee split Orpington’s
•chocolate/mauve mottled silkies
This beautiful boy in the photo is going to be my top roo in my calico/funfetti silkie pen. I’m going for more of a “high white” look with splashes of the calico coloring. I also want to keep the silkie feathering as much as possible and try and steer away from the satin. It will definitely be a work in progress and lots of test hatches (oh no😂) and I’m going to be very strict with my culling and who I’ll be keeping in that pen to achieve my end goals.
Anyways, I just wanted to explain a little bit about my future breeding goals and that I’ve been very busy behind the scenes and hatching out/taking care of my birds these past few months. I absolutely love every bit and every stage of raising them. 💓
