We’re honored, Outstanding Farmers of America (OFA)!

As we announce the class of 2026 NOYF finalists, we’re shining a spotlight on Mitchell and Rebecca Henry of Moulton, Alabama. A fifth-generation farmer, Mitchell began building his operation at just 14 years old, starting with 13 calves that grew into a diversified business raising nearly 500 head annually. Alongside his wife Rebecca, he manages cattle, hay, trucking, and land stewardship with a strong focus on animal care, conservation, and sustainability. Rooted in family legacy and community service, Mitchell represents the next generation of agriculture—committed to responsible growth and leaving the land better than he found it.

Happy Snow Day from our farm to yours! ❄️
Snow isn’t normal for us here in the Deep South, but we’ve had a couple “snow storms” in the last few years. We had to learn the hard way how to winterize our entire farm to brace for this weather. Cue the building of a new shop and adding a furnace to it to protect our large equipment. For those wondering, the cattle don’t seem to be too bothered by it either. We’ll be praying any respiratory disease won’t be creeping up behind all this cold weather! 🌨️ What are your steps for preparing for winter weather on your farm or ranch?
