Technical Support Specialist
Tuscan Market is part of Tuscan Brands, which supplies the Tuscan Kitchen Restaurants with most of their fresh products. Tuscan Market is seeking a positive, motivated and dependable IT Specialist to support Tuscan's multiple locations including a manufacturing plant in Lawrence, MA. The ideal applicant must be able to work independently as well as a team leader. Learning our system and having a personal drive for accuracy, presentation, detail, and timing is expected.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES | RESPONSIBILITIES
The Technical Support Specialist’s is a crucial role in the organization and its operation. Supporting multiple locations, the TSS will ensure that all technical aspects are functioning optimally including technical issues that can affect the organization’s performance. The duties and responsibilities will revolve around maximizing computer system capabilities and supporting the following needs:
• Handling employee technical support cases through phone and email submission
• Updating the company website with tech tips and brief documents
• Evaluating system potential through assessing compatibility of new programs with existing programs
• Improving existing programs by evaluating objectives and specifications, reviewing proposed changes and making recommendations
• Maintaining system functionality by testing computer components; maintain all required system safety and privacy components up to date to prevent hacking and | or activities that can interfere with the system’s capabilities.
• Achieving computer stem objectives through collecting relevant data, identifying and evaluating options and suggesting a course of action
• Maintain client confidence by keeping their information confidential
• Preparing reference material for users by drafting operation instructions
• Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent communication ability
• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in the field
• Experience working within multiple locations a plus
• In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
• Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
• Degree in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field
• Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
