Pumpkin education 101!

Pumpkins are in the cucurbit family, all cucurbits have male and female flowers and it takes pollen from both to successfully make a pumpkin…. In our patch we plant 30 different varieties , and we have cross pollination that occurs here is a white pumpkin crossed with an orange. These are special pumpkins and a treat to find in the patch

Found squash bugs in the pumpkins last night …. Called Midwest Drone application… Joshua LeValley this morning and he saved the crop! A huge thanks to him and Lone Pine Agri Services. For assuring we have pumpkins in October.
