We have three white spotted corriente cows. Last year they all gave us red calves, but this year two of them gave us these cute white spotted bull calves, like this one born in the last few days. The sale barn won't like these guys, so we will put them into our grass-fed beef program.

We turned our core group of mama cows into the cereal rye cover crop Monday evening. Still waiting on the herd we will custom graze this summer to join them so we can really start hammering this forage.

Meet the newest member of the herd. Most of our cows calve in the fall, but we have a few that are off cycle so it's always fun to get those spring surprises.
