These Easter Egger girls are growing up way too fast. 🥹🐔

At around 4–5 months old, they're getting closer to laying every day, and I can't wait to see what color eggs they surprise us with! 💚🩵

They're sweet, curious, and quickly becoming some of my favorite girls in the flock. Raising chickens never gets old—watching each one grow into their own personality is one of the best parts of homesteading.

Who wants to guess... blue, green, or olive eggs first? 🥚✨

If you know me, you know I'm a night shifter... so being in training classes all week during the day has been a big adjustment. 😅

The hardest part hasn't even been the schedule—it's been missing my little slice of peace. I missed sitting in the grass, watching my flock free range, loving on my turkey, chickens, and kitties, and just soaking in the quiet.

I got out early today, and the first thing I did was head outside to see everyone. This right here is home. ❤️🐓🐈🦃

No matter how busy life gets, there's something about sitting in the pasture with the animals that resets my soul. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

My absolute favorite Ayam Cemanis! No leakage & no black tongue!

One is already making me question if it's a little cockerel with those bigger combs and fancy tail feathers, while the other is looking more like a pullet... but time will tell! 🤞

Either way, they're stunning birds, and I can't wait to watch them mature. Who else is obsessed with Ayam Cemanis? 🖤

🤣 People think homesteading is all fresh bread and pretty gardens. It's actually me arguing with a turkey while carrying a bucket and wondering why I walked outside in the first place.

6:00 AM - SCREAM
6:05 AM - MORE SCREAMING
6:10 AM - Act like they've never been fed before

The feeder is still half full.

The drama is free with every flock. 😂🐓
