šØDifficult decision incoming!šØ
So our farm does a lot. It grows food for area restaurants and retailers. It supplies our farm store. It is, sometimes begrudgingly, the main source of video fodder for . And, since 2018, it has grown produce for the . But this year we will with no small amount of sadness be ::takes a deep breath:: dropping our farmersā market booth in Lexington.
With our amazing employee Greg moving on after three years (thank you, Greg šš») coinciding with our kids being independent enough for Hannah to help more (and even themselves help a bit), weāre in a good place to ease back on the number of things this farm does while improving some of the others. Leaving the market is hard, but we are also excited for what this means for us as a farm and family - getting back to working together full time, having weekends with the boys, honing in on our goals and ambitions for our work in the community, and perhaps having a bit of energy leftover to connect with some of you in REAL LIFE (not just for five minutes while we are working at the market!)
We will dearly dearly dearly miss our Lexington folks and will be ecstatic to see you all when we stop by the market for visits, but for the foreseeable future (unless we freak out at some point and decide to come running back haha), we are ending our time at the Lexington Farmers Market. This spring you will still be able to buy our food directly from us at our farm store and/or through in Frankfort, plus several of the Ouita Michael group restaurants. Of course, we will keep you updated as that list grows or changes. Our Farm Card members - check your emails for more details!
Thank you for the last 6 years, Lexington. You are the best -J+H
