We had an incredible inspection today! This was a truly lovely group of horses, and we're so proud of each and every one.
Rezonata FFW (Zhivago x Ragtime Jazz/Regazzoni), owned and bred by Jennifer Boyd, laid down the top traditional Mare Performance Test today! This cool young mare really showcased her talent and temperament, earning scores of 8 for jumping ability, walk, and rideability, not to mention 7.5 for both trot and canter. Her overall score of 7.72 is truly impressive! She was also the top-scoring non-Hanoverian in her inspection, to boot! It has been a pleasure to develop "Natty" for the past few months, and we can't wait to see what her bright future holds. Rezonata is accepted into the main studbook and becomes a Hanoverian Premium Mare.
Serenade (Secret x Davina/Dancier), owned by Mark Brown, also showed beautifully today, earning the top riding-only Mare Performance Test. This is a truly incredible young horse - the sky is the limit for her, and it is an honor to play a part in her development! Serenade earned scores of 8 for all three gaits and 8.5 for rideability, making her an overall 8.25. She is deserving of every bit of it! This horse will be one to watch as she grows up. Serenade becomes a Hanoverian Premium Mare.
Fashion Forward (Fabregas x Flair/Fidertanz), bred by Meg Williams and owned by Makena Scott, was the top-scoring Hanoverian mare in her inspection, earning an overall 8! Judges were incredibly impressed with her as a prospect for the future. "Red" was a Gold Medal foal, and it is nice to see that she has lived up to it! She offered a lovely MPT today, with an overall 7 in the jump chute and an 8 for her canter! Many thanks to Dawn Spencer for raising her well and for trusting us to bring her along, and best of luck to new owner Makena - we can't wait to see what this mare gets up to in her new home! Red becomes a Hanoverian Premium Mare.
Briar Rose (Beltano x Downtown Delight/Don Schufro), bred by Meg Williams and owned by Mary Aitken, was a total superstar and impressed the judges with her balance, power, and poise. With an 8 for rideability and plenty of 7 and 7.5 scores, this lovely young mare really showed up and showed out. She is going to be a real powerhouse, and we are thrilled that she has found such a dedicated and capable rider to develop her! We fully expect to see Rose doing big things a few years down the road. She becomes a Hanoverian Premium Mare.
Sirena HTF (Sezuan x Qadence HTF/Qredit), bred by Hilltop Farm and owned by Meg Williams, was happy to strut her stuff again after her impressive showing at the breed show a few weeks ago. She's gone through a growth spurt since then, but she still impressed! With no score below a 7 in her MPT and a couple of 8s in her mare inspection, Sirena becomes a Hanoverian Premium Mare. She is in foal to Fabregas for 2027, and we can't wait to see what she produces!
Fairytale Princess (Fabregas x Royal Princess/Rotspon), owned and bred by Meg Williams, was a total superstar! Her mother is a legend around the farm, and this one has not disappointed. With scores of 7.5 through the jump chute and on her canter, she shone in her MPT! "PJ" earned seven 8s in her mare inspection as well, truly showing her quality and class. This youngster is available to the perfect home - athletic and easy to be around, she's one you'd be a fool to miss! PJ becomes a Hanoverian Premium Mare.
Shayla MCS, bred by Meghan Richards and owned by Jennifer Boyd, showed her quality today as well! She impressed in the jump chute with her power and ability, and earned very good scores in her inspection as well. With scores of 7.5 for her rideability and her trot, and an overall 7 for her mare inspection, Shayla is accepted into the main studbook and becomes a Hanoverian Premium Mare.
Granuleta (Rock Solid x Gracias/Granulit), owned and bred by Julie Cannon, is such a superstar! This mare is such a gem to have around. She earned some really great scores in her mare inspection, including a few 8s - like one for her beautiful head! Granuleta is accepted into the main studbook. Minna SCF (O Quidam Junior I x Olisina/Celano), bred by Lisa Lourie and owned by Katie Melnick, joined our group of non-Hanoverian mares as the only Belgian Warmblood who showed up today! Earning an overall 7 in her mare inspection, she is accepted into the main studbook. She was really lovely and sweet to deal with - many thanks to owner Katie for bringing her and her foal! Amalphie RHF, bred by Katie Melnick, had a great showing and was branded Hanoverian.
With fourteen foals presented today, I can't quite write about all of them! Suffice it to say we had a truly incredible group with several standouts.
Gold Medal foals include:
Faye (Fabregas x Bella Crusadore/Baron), owned and bred by Meg Williams. This filly has more presence than we know what to do with, a modern type with incredible potential!
Delilah Beltano (Danciano x Blair/Beltano), owned and bred by Cindy Kidd, DVM. She was also top filly! This one is a total powerhouse, and it was a pleasure to see her strut her stuff!
Karate Kid (Kaiman x Won Buttercup/Widmark), bred by Marcie Scheskie and owned by Meg Williams. This little c**t has chrome for days, and when he moves you can't look away!
Diego (Denmark HTF x Downtown Delight/Don Schufro), owned and bred by Meg Williams. This c**t has personality plus and insane suspension and power - he was bred for the big ring and he knows it! He is a true prospect for the future.
Haberdasher KFX (Herzensdieb x Sole Fiore KFX/Scuderia), owned and bred by Kevin and Melinda Kelly (kfxfarms.com). This little superstar was the top c**t! A lovely dark bay with a precious personality, he was very fun to watch and will make someone very happy.
