👩‍🍳 Training, Learning & A Whole Lot of Cooking!

Our Memphis Test Kitchen was excited to welcome the talented child nutrition teams from East Tallahatchie and Marshall County Schools for a Staff Development Equipment Training with PMR Corporate Chef Kim Buchanan and Rep Alisa Jordan.

The teams brought their entire kitchen staff for a hands-on experience focused on proper equipment use, kitchen safety, and building confidence in the kitchen. Chef Kim had everyone cooking, learning, and putting the equipment to work!

For Child Nutrition Directors, staff development is an important part of meeting USDA training requirements. Bringing teams into the PMR Test Kitchen allows directors to step away from the training logistics while their staff receives real-world, hands-on instruction from our culinary team.

Most importantly, it was rewarding to work with such a talented and caring group of professionals who are dedicated to serving their students every day. ❤️

🍸 I-Spy in the Wild: Perlick Bar Equipment

TWO ICONS of our industry retired from PMR on July 31st.
For decades, Mike Hensley and Mike Whitten have been an integral part of both PMR and the foodservice equipment industry at large.

Not only did they strive to grow PMR as a company, but their dedication to employees, customers, and manufacturers has been second to none, both professionally and personally. Their wisdom and leadership will be sorely missed.

We close this chapter with sadness that they will no longer be involved with PMR daily, but with joy for what they have brought to us all. We are better people for having known them. Thank you, Hensley and Whitten!

PMR's reps Amber Richart and Jason Jones were proud to be part of the Annual Arkansas Healthcare Association 2026 Convention & Spring Trade Show, teaming up with our partners at Group Purchasing Advantage for two days of connection, education, and a little fun along the way.

From baseball jerseys to sneakers, we brought the ballpark energy to our booth—welcoming attendees from long-term care facilities across the state, including administrators and directors focused on continuing education and improving their operations.

Between sessions, the trade show floor gave everyone a chance to connect, explore new solutions, and learn more about the tools shaping today’s foodservice environments. We were excited to showcase products from some of our incredible manufacturer partners, including DINEX, WipesPlus, Araven, Mercer, and Winco.

Let’s just say… you’re killing me, Smalls—if you missed it 😉 Another great show in the books, and we’re just getting warmed up.

🔥 Burning Up the Roads in Alabama… if you blink, you might miss him.

Our own Kyle Belcher has been on a demo tour lately, blazing a trail across the state and bringing the heat (literally) to school kitchens.

Shelby County Schools recently upgraded with new RATIONAL iCombi Pro ovens at Calera High School, Calera Elementary School, and Helena High School—and Kyle had the pleasure of leading introductory training at all three locations.

From dialing in performance to helping staff get comfortable with the capabilities of these ovens, Kyle made sure each team was set up for success from the start.

And let’s be honest—great equipment is only part of the equation. What really stood out? The people. Each of these schools' nutrition teams brought enthusiastic, engaged, and fun energy that made every stop worthwhile.

At PMR, it’s not just about the install—it’s about showing up, supporting your team, and making sure you feel confident long after the equipment is turned on.

Gulf Shores High School just upgraded their space with a brand-new Duke serving line—and it’s everything a modern school cafeteria should be beautiful, fresh, and inviting.

Let’s be honest… most of us didn’t have lunchrooms that looked like this growing up. This space is designed to make students actually want to come through the line.

Duke continues to lead the way in designing affordable serving solutions that not only meet the needs of the operation but also fit seamlessly into each unique space. Whether it’s a high school project or a fully custom configuration, they deliver some of the most stylish and functional serving counters in the industry.
