One of my favorite private properties to hunt, well, anything! This was a great day.

Interestingly enough, I identified this Georgia mushroom is Inonotus hispidus (Shaggy Bracket) same genus as Inonotus obliquus (Chaga mushroom). I think this is a really interesting observation and I’m really thrilled that it works better than chaga for my method of flint and steel.

Great time at the Fort Daniel Frontier Fair yesterday! I started a new tradition where I trade the point I make while demonstrating flintknapping for a fellow artist’s work. This year I asked the Blacksmith’s apprentice to make me a new custom flint striker. Last year I traded a spearhead for this awesome double-walled basket. 👍
