Hey guys! This is something I’ve been working on and it has dominated my mind for quite some time. I wanted to create something I really needed, but I haven’t seen a local creator do it, so I took the time to do it myself!

I am honestly so tired of overhyped, underseasoned places getting major traction on here. It is so disappointing to spend the time and money to just be led on by discrete advertising. However, I wanted to highlight and review other, more low-key places around Georgia (mainly Metro Atlanta).

We have so much diversity, yet we have a severe lack of togetherness. I also wanted to write about some of the cultures and history of some of the dishes I will review, so we can learn more about each other and the dishes who make us who we are.

No, I’m not doing a take-down on the local mom-and-pop, but I will on those gimmicky pop-ups (if deserved! Sometimes I’m surprised!).

I have become more and more aware of the lack of experience many around me have with food. There was either no motivation to try anything different, a complete aversion to doing so, or just unaware of what was out there.

So, if you’re eating like you’re still on war rations, want to learn more about our area and what’s out there, or just want to make fun of trendy, overpriced restaurants, come along for the ride.

Check out my first blog post where I write more about my inspirations, my deep hatred of “Instagram restaurants,” and the history of the bánh mì!
