My first “garden” was in 2023. It was only 10’x10’ and was completely overgrown with weeds within a few weeks.

That winter I got to studying. I read about gardening multiple hours a day, for many months.

In 2024, I came back ready with a 4,000 square foot garden I designed by myself (130’x30’). Pretty ballsy (and dumb) for someone who couldn’t maintain a 100 square foot garden the year before.

But I fckin CRUSHED it. My months of reading and research paid off. Yes, I failed a lot, but I learned even more.

My peppers and tomatoes are still going strong!

Did you know you can put frost covers over plants to protect them from a frosty night? I will be doing this for my tomatoes and peppers as they are still producing well and next will be warmer temps.

Don’t have frost covers? Last year I improvised with extra bed sheets and it worked great.

The garden in the backfield pushed out another set of blooms right as we might get frost this weekend. Fingers crossed they survive🤞🏻my heart isn’t ready to let the season go!
