Not very often do I have unspoken for beef when I send them in to the processor, but this is one of those rare times when there are 1/4s or a 1/2 up for grabs! Shoot me a message if you would like more information or to have your name put on some beef 🥩🍔
These cattle are born and raised on my farm and produce meat that is lean and flavorful 🤤 I’m so thankful for my many repeat and faithful customers ❤️

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on here…thinking it’s time for me to communicate a little😎. This week was hard…selling this sweet cow we have nicknamed Shamoo. Her given name was Destiny, but as she grew, dad joked that she was half a cow high and a cow and half wide, she was a whale 🐳, hence the name Shamoo😜
Many of you know my dad passed away after a short and intense battle with cancer two years ago. At his funeral we showed a video of him I had taken on the farm. That video started with him kissing Shamoo 😭💔
So as Shamoo loaded on the trailer, I was missing daddy, and so thankful to be following in his footsteps farming. 💖🐄🚜🌽 (picture of daddy and Shamoo in the comments 🥰)

Found this website that answers a lot of questions about raw milk. I haven’t not completely read everything on this, but I have read quite a bit and agree with what I’ve read (with the exception that I don’t feel a strong pull to organic). Check it out and let me know if you have any questions:)

I’m not really sure what to say...it’s a long read but I hope some of you, many of you, choose to read this. This is where I am at in many ways, where small farmers are at all over the country. What do you do when you’re losing money doing the thing you’re passionate about, the only thing you can imagine doing? The comment from the little boy at the end of the article brought tears to my eyes...I could hear Malachi saying the same thing. I don’t know what the fix is, or even if there is a fix. Do we try to make a product (cheese, yogurt, etc) and sell herdshares to provide people with access to delicious raw milk? Do we call it quits, and deal with the loss and the depression that could ensue? It hurts...but God is faithful. Trusting Him one day at a time to show our next step for our small dairy farm. Whether we continue milking or He leads us to something else, I know His plans are good.

Small-dairy farmers are getting squeezed out by corporate agriculture. “That is not what America is about," a struggling farmer said.
