🐴 Now Accepting Boarding Reservations – Opening July 1st! 🐴

Preparations are underway, stalls are being cleaned and set up, and the facility is getting ready to welcome horses beginning July 1st!

A limited number of boarding spaces will be available, with options including full-care boarding and enrollment in conditioning and development programs. The goal is to provide a well-managed environment where horses can receive individualized care, consistent turnout, and thoughtful management tailored to their needs.

Whether you're looking for a place for a senior horse, a horse needing help building condition and confidence, or simply a quality full-care boarding environment, I'd be happy to discuss whether the facility may be a good fit.

Ediza has been one of the biggest influences behind the way I manage horses today. While every horse is different, she has always been happiest when she has the freedom to move, explore, and live in a turnout environment.
Over the years I've noticed that when her movement is restricted, she becomes more frustrated, anxious, and difficult to manage. When she has consistent turnout, room to roam, and horse friends, she's a completely different horse—more relaxed, happier, and easier to work with.
She is a big reason why I developed the rotational turnout system at Tipsy Acres. I wanted to create an environment that encourages movement, social interaction, and a more natural lifestyle while still allowing me to monitor horses closely and provide individualized care.
Not every horse thrives in the same setup, and that's okay. But horses like Ediza remind me every day how important it is to look at the individual horse and build management around their needs

One of my favorite things about this property is watching horses simply be horses.
Herd turnout provides opportunities for movement, social interaction, and mental stimulation throughout the day. Instead of standing in a stall waiting for the next meal, horses can move freely, build relationships, explore their environment, and express natural behaviors.
While every horse is an individual and not every setup is right for every horse, I have always appreciated the benefits that consistent turnout and herd living can provide for many horses.
As Tipsy Acres continues to grow and evolve, my goal remains the same: creating a thoughtful environment focused on horse health, well-being, and quality care.

Exciting things are starting to come together!
We’ve officially begun setting up for our upcoming move into a new facility in Layton, with plans to begin accepting a small number of boarders starting July 1st.
This space will allow us to continue growing the heart of what I do—equine conditioning, bodywork, and individualized care—while also offering limited boarding options for horses that fit the program well.
I’ll be sharing more as things come together, but I’m really looking forward to building a thoughtful, horse-focused environment centered around movement, comfort, and long-term well-being.

It's been a while since I've posted on this page, so I thought I'd share a little update!
Over the last few years, Tipsy Acres has continued to evolve. What started as a place for my own horses has slowly grown into a small herd-focused property centered around turnout, enrichment, individualized care, and helping horses live as naturally as possible.
I've been working toward creating an environment that prioritizes movement, social interaction, nutrition, and overall wellness while continuing to make improvements along the way. Like most horse properties, it's always a work in progress, but I'm excited about the direction it's heading.
With some upcoming changes this summer, I will have a limited number of boarding openings available beginning in July. This is a full-care, 24/7 turnout setup best suited for horses that do well in a herd environment and owners looking for a quieter, more personalized setting.
As always, thank you to everyone who has followed along and supported the journey. I'm looking forward to sharing more updates, projects, and horse adventures from Tipsy Acres again!
