Sudangrass is the last member of the sorghum family that we offer. It is a great option for grazing or haying! It is a member of the sorghum family, and still presents a slight risk for prussic acid poisoning, but is typically less risky than sorghum or sorghum-sdangrass. Sudangrass is finer stemmed and is a great option for hay!

Teffgrass is an increasingly popular option for producers looking for a summer forage that makes dry hay, and for good reason! With its very fine stems and extremely palatable nature, it's no wonder most types of livestock can't get enough of it. In fact, Teffgrass hay is often in high demand, and for producers who can master its unique challenges, the rewards can be significant. However, Teff can be a bit of a challenge to manage, so make sure to work closely with your agronomist to develop a comprehensive plan for success. A few essential tips to keep in mind when working with Teffgrass include: Planting no deeper than 1/8, cut when seed heads appear, and apply nitrogen fertilizer.

Walking fields seeing some really good plant dates of beans (April 14 picture) and some that are in question hopefully the heat today will help! Beans planted April 23-26 seem to the ones that need looked at the most.

PPO interaction seems to be high too with the cool wet weather and possible pythium injury after that cool stretch w same plant date window.

Gonna be a crazy week (and this wknd) next week with weather trending back in the right direction!!!

Be safe everybody!

Rise and shine plot this morning to get a white corn plot in the ground and keeping the planters rolling while evaluating some April 7-12 planted soybeans in between today! Could use a rain for the corn and beans planted earlier!
