Mamas, babies and our heifer Faith enjoying the “wet paddock”. This area is the last to dry out in the spring but grows the lushest grass.

Cache was very excited to have a friend…May was not so convinced in the beginning that the heat and a little boy pestering her was her idea of fun.

May is out on pasture with her mom Rain. They joined Curry and Cache as well as our heifer Faith.

Early this morning Rain decided to have her baby in between checks, all by herself. Rain is miss independent, so no surprise she made her move when no one was looking.

Baby girl is a beautiful dark red with lots of pigment on both eyes 😍 she looks like she’ll have a curly coat like mom and dad both have.

Her registered name is April Showers Bring May Flowers, May for short.

She’s already spoken for and will be joining her older half sister Ruby when she weans.

It’s been a crazy week so we are a little behind on sharing some exciting news! Curry started the calving season for us this past Saturday evening.

She was found presenting with one back foot. So we quickly stepped in and assisted delivering. It is critical that backward calves be delivered quickly or they can suffocate in the birth canal once the umbilical cord is pinched.

Thankfully, everything went perfectly and her bull calf came out healthy!

Sadie named him Cache “Cash”, still working on a registered name. His birthweight was 56lbs and he has lots of white and some partial eyeliner.
