We are so thankful for good friends who help make special things happen!

A huge thank you to Mark Oppold and Kathi Oppold for helping us tell the story of Wendelin Vines. Mark came out and filmed the vineyard and spent time learning about our family’s history and how we’re bringing that piece of our past back to life.

Through their friendship and Mark's connections with RFD-TV, our story was able to reach so many more people. It means a lot to us to have friends who are willing to support what we’re doing and help spread the word.

We’re pretty excited to see our little family vineyard story featured on RFD-TV!

A quick harvest update

The weather, heat, and rain haven’t been the kindest to us this growing season. While the fruit we did get turned out amazing, there’s simply less of it this year.

Because of that, we’re going to cancel our Seyval harvest volunteer day scheduled for August 22. We’ve decided to handle this harvest a little differently and won’t need a large volunteer crew.

Thank you so much to everyone who signed up and offered to come help! We truly appreciate your support and hope to have you back out to Wendelin Vines for future harvests.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out Saturday to help us pick our Frontenac Gris!

We are so lucky to have such great family, friends and neighbors come out and help us get the grapes in. It was an early morning, but we got the grapes picked, had plenty of laughs, lunch and enjoyed some w**e from our 2025 harvest!

We truly couldn’t do this without all of you. Whether you were here for the whole morning or just stopped by for a little while, we appreciate you more than you know!

HARVEST 2026

It's hard to believe we're already getting ready for our second grape harvest! Last year was such a fun experience, and we're excited to invite everyone back to help us do it again.

We're planning to harvest:

🍇 Saturday, August 8 – Frontenac Gris

We'll start at 7:00 AM while it's still cool outside. If you have hand pruners, bring them along! Wear clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty, sturdy shoes, and bring plenty of water. We'll have snacks and lunch waiting for everyone.

One thing we're especially excited about this year—we'll actually have Wendelin Vines w**e to share after we're finished! Last year we promised the w**e would come later...well, later is here!

If you can stay all morning, that's wonderful. But if you only have an hour or two to spare, we'd love to have your help too—every extra set of hands makes a difference!

If you can make it for one day or both, we'd love to have you! Just let us know using the link below, and feel free to invite a friend or two. The more helping hands, the faster we finish...and the sooner we can enjoy a glass of w**e together!

History in the making! Our very first case of w**e went to John Aaron Hund, Wendelin's great grandson x 3!

Thanks for being our first customer and one of our biggest supporters. Here's to many more bottles shared with family and friends!
