Happy Birthday, Hansel and Gretel 🎉 🦌 🦌 🎂
One year ago today, we witnessed something we may never see again.
Hansel and Gretel were born—twin reindeer.
Twin births in reindeer are incredibly rare, and from the very beginning, the odds were stacked against them. They arrived breech, and with our vet there to help Nutmeg deliver, it was one of those moments where everything felt uncertain.
And then… they made it.
To give them the best chance, we stepped in and bottle raised them—something we only do when it’s truly necessary. If a mom can raise her baby, she always does. So for us, that meant every two hours, around the clock in those early days. It was exhausting, emotional, and completely worth it.
Slowly, they grew stronger. And four months later, they were finally ready to join the herd.
Today, they turn ONE.
Healthy. Thriving. Still side by side.
Hansel and Gretel, you are nothing short of a miracle 🤍
