Hi friends. I haven’t posted in ages. I’ve been hibernating, keeping myself close and quiet. And it’s been amazing.

But now that the sun is coming out again I can’t help but begin to awaken to the new season. Things will be different this year…. More to come later. But for now a throw back to last October when we threw some beautiful garlic into the ground.

It’s so exciting to be growing greens in the tunnels this winter. I’ve wanted to do so for years but the end of the season is always a scramble, making it tough to be organized and rally through one more late round of bed prep and plantings. But the crew nailed it and now we’ll have greens to offer our community, perhaps as early as next month.

It’s a bit of a learning curve, using the heater in the larger greenhouse on chilly nights and trying to not burn through too much propane, but I’m looking forward to learning this season and getting better each year.

This looks like it should be a spring post but psych! Yes, it’s still October. We’re planting out all of greenhouses this fall so we can bring you delicious veggies date I say all year.

It’ll be a learning season for sure but we’re so excited to see what happens!
