🫂Each week at the Lawrence Farmers Market, YOU, our community, gathers together to eat breakfast, drink coffee, pet dogs, hug each other, and shop from neighbors and put a face to the food eaten each week. You are what makes our farmers market thrive. Week after week. Year after year. For FIFTY years!

Farmers markets are more than just a grocery store, they are places for everyone to meet up - the Saturday morning coffee crew coming for decades; Pre-teens biking to market to grab a hot breakfast; Early morning shoppers waiting for the bell to buy the first of this week’s strawberries; Kids running around searching for the scavenger hunt and jumping for joy at the bubbles; Childhood friends meeting up to catch up while shopping. Have you ever seen a frown at the farmers market?

🌍Our market is for you. It is for everyone. We are a diverse group of farmers, ranchers, bakers, artisan craft-makers, and food-lovers from all walks of life, bringing you the freshest local foods from our region in Kansas. We are here rain or shine; heat or snow; wind or humidity - every Saturday through November 21st.

Rainy day harvest today! We got pretty wet out there, but everything is looking great.

We'll be at the Lawrence Farmers Market tomorrow from 7:30–11:30. Looks like there might be a little rain again, but we'll be there with fresh veggies, plants, and woodcrafts! Make sure to swing by and say Hello!

You may have noticed a couple changes to our token system at the Lawrence Farmers Market! Here's a PSA with a couple of reminders:

⚫️ Anyone can buy $5 tokens! Come see us at the info booth and use a credit or debit card or gift certificate to purchase $5 tokens. These tokens act just like cash and you’ll get cash change in return. The only difference this year is these tokens are now painted black on their edges to help us tell them apart from our $1 tokens!

🟢 The $1 wooden tokens are for SNAP/EBT users shopping at the Market. If you withdraw $20 from your SNAP account, you’ll receive 20 $1 wooden tokens. These ones are freshly painted green on the edges!

🟣 SNAP/EBT users also receive Double Up Food Bucks tokens, which double their dollars up to $25 a day to purchase fruits and vegetables. This year we are distributing purple Double Up Food Bucks tokens, but if you have aqua tokens leftover from last year, the vendors will still accept them.

🔴 Finally, the red tokens are Double Up Protein Bucks for SNAP/EBT users. These tokens also double up their SNAP dollars up to $25 a day to purchase local proteins around the market.
