We had to document the rare sighting of both of us at a show the other is judging. Usually, there are ewes lambing, day jobs to attend to, or any manner of other reasons we need to divide and conquer. But, thanks to our friend, Dawn Bracken doing chores, we were able to spend our wedding anniversary in Dallas. It was special to watch Barrett judge the market lambs at his home state fair. 💜

Not to brag... But it's 30 degrees cooler today as compared to yesterday. We seem to FINALLY have said goodbye to our never ending summer. 🙌

Cooler temps mean bred ewe sale, fall majors, and college football. We're here for it. 🍂🏈

This weekend, an old cattle friend was quizzing us about leg wool products for their daughter's sheep project. Genetics and nutrition aside, we're usually in the camp of... go with what you know. This tends to mean our recommendations for products look pretty simple and in line with whatever Jara used to grow hair on show heifers in the 2000s.

However, there is one "new" product that has cemented itself in our leg day routine over the last several years: H2.

We feel it adds fullness and volume to fine hair and makes it more resilient to the harshness of high heat and speed blowers.

The product is great but their marketing and placement are a little old school so when we need more we simply reach out to Tanner Schaeffer 😂
