This might make some people squirm, but.... we buy marked down groceries. π± Eeek!
In this economy you have to find ways to make the dollar stretch. For us, that looks like buying marked down groceries.
Some turn up their nose at such a thing thinking the items are "bad" or "lesser".
Grocery stores mark down meats, produce, and other perishables in order to make a little profit rather than no profit on items nearing Best By dates.
All this means to me as a consumer is that I have less time to use the item than normal.
I will either plan to cook it, freeze it, or preserve it somehow within a day or two of purchase.
Important note!!! Don't get sucked into buying something just because it's a good price π° It's wasted dollars if you won't actually eat it or if you don't have time to process it.
π² What is your tip or trick to saving a few bucks on the grocery bill?
