Saddleback Stables established 2001: Maureen Moore's uncle, James W. "Bud" Singer, owned Singer Farms

, a successful racing and breeding farm in Mattoon, Illinois before his untimely death. In 2001 Mike and Maureen took possession of two race mares; Royal Bandita and Greenfinder, from the Singer estate. They added additional stalls to the existing barn and Saddleback Stables was born. Moore Family Farm established 1949: It was in the summer of 1949 when Ruth and Lucian Burkhart purchased a 25 acre farm on the outskirts of Lebanon, Illinois. Ruth's son, Charles Moore and his wife Rita eventually took up residence there. Chuck Moore was an accomplished horseman who raised and cared for the horses. In 1994 their son, Michael Moore and his wife Maureen, built their current home on the north pasture. Over the years the Moore Family Farm has been home to Quarter Horses, Appaloosas and Tennessee Walking Horses used for pleasure and trail riding.
