Thank ya’ll SO much for all of the orders this week! ✨💚🧚🏻‍♀️

I have 3 orders I’m working on today and will be making deliveries later this evening! 💚✨

I’m also working on about 50 cookies for my family reunion and, of course, my famous baked mac & cheese that I take to pretty much every function I’m invited to. 😂💛🧀

I’m going to film a video and finally share my baked mac & cheese recipe because I swear I’m asked for it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I take it somewhere! 😂

I’m also in the process of editing a few other videos, and I have an AMAZING crab Rangoon recipe that I’ll be sharing later! 🦀✨

And there are some other exciting things happening behind the scenes! 👀💚 I have a new logo and I’m working on getting my printer and new labels set up for my packages. I’m so excited to start making everything feel even more Cottage Kay! 🌿🧚🏻‍♀️✨

I truly appreciate every single person who supports me, whether you’ve placed an order, shared a post, followed my page, tried one of my recipes, or simply stuck around. 🥹💚

I know I don’t post nearly as much as I should. Between working, doing 2–3 orders a week, trying to keep up with everything behind the scenes, and dealing with the worst PCOS/ PMOS flare-up I’ve had in about 4 years, life has just been A LOT lately.

So when you continue to show up and support me, it genuinely means more than you know. 💚✨

Here’s my menu for the next few weeks! My Fall Menu will be dropping in late August, and I cannot wait to share all the new flavors, recipes, and goodies I’ve been working on. 🍂🍎🎃

I’m so excited to be back taking orders, planning pop-ups, and doing what I love. If y’all know of any local markets, events, or places where I could set up as a vendor or have a roadside pop-up, let your girl know! I’d love to be there. ✨

As always, I’ll be taking orders throughout the week, baking on Fridays, and offering pickups or meet-ups on Saturdays and Mondays for the rest of the month.

I’m working hard to get everything ready for upcoming pop-ups, where I’ll have a variety of fresh baked treats in addition to my regular menu. There are so many exciting things in the works, and I’m beyond grateful to be building this dream one step at a time.

This journey hasn’t always been easy, but it has been incredibly rewarding. Every challenge has been part of the adventure, and I truly couldn’t do it without your support.

Hey y’all… I’m back! 🥹❤️🥳

First, I just want to say thank you for sticking around while I took an unexpected little hiatus. I disappeared a lot longer than I ever intended to, but I’m happy to say I’m back, I’m taking orders again, and I can’t wait to start sharing recipes, cooking videos, and all the yummy things with y’all!✨💚

I’ll be posting my updated menu shortly! I had to remove a few items and add some new ones. Thanks to Virginia’s cottage food laws and all the red tape that comes with them, I can only offer certain desserts without getting a Home Food Processing Operation permit. 😂 As much as I’d love to sell some of my butter- and cream cheese-based favorites, I honestly don’t want to go through that entire process.

If I’m being honest, food is only one small piece of the dream God has placed on my heart. 💚 I have so many exciting things I’ve been working on that I’ll be adding this fall, and I can’t wait to share them with you! So while my menu may be changing, I promise it’ll still be full of delicious treats you’ll love.🍪

When I started this little business, my goal wasn’t just to bake. I wanted people to feel loved. I wanted to create food that reminded people someone cared about what went into their bodies just as much as they did.

Many of you know I lost 120 pounds a little over four years ago through simple lifestyle changes. Life has happened, and over the last year I’ve gained about 30 pounds back. That’s okay. Health isn’t all-or-nothing, and neither is healing. Because of that, I’ll also be sharing more of my healthy recipes, cooking, and weight-loss journey over on my Kayla Dawn page. I hope that by sharing what’s helped me, maybe it can encourage someone else too.

I also want to be honest about why I’ve been gone.

The last year has been incredibly hard. my sweet Watson Roo was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, and then I lost my brother. Healing isn’t linear—it’s messy, it zigzags, and sometimes it knocks the wind out of you. After Watson had a scary syncope episode, I found myself slipping into a depressive episode, and before I knew it, weeks had passed.

I’m not sharing that for sympathy—I’m sharing it because I believe in being real. I’m taking accountability for stepping away, and I’m choosing to keep moving forward, even when it’s hard.

Through all of it, so many of you still reached out for orders, checked on me, and continued supporting my little business even when I wasn’t posting. That has meant more to me than I could ever put into words. You reminded me why I started this in the first place.🥹❤️

I truly feel so blessed, so loved, and so thankful for every single one of you. Whether you’ve ordered once, shared a post, liked a picture, or simply followed along, you’ve helped keep this dream alive.💚✨🧚🏻‍♀️

Here’s to new recipes, fresh content, delicious desserts, exciting new products this fall, and a fresh start. I can’t wait to continue this journey with y’all. ❤️

I’m working on getting my page back up and reposting all my content and photos of my baked goods. Thank y’all so much for being patient with me during all of this. 💚🧚‍♀️✨

I do work full time, have been dealing with the worst bronchitis, and spending lots of time caring for Watson while we keep him as comfortable as possible with his congestive heart failure. It’s been a heavy few months, and life has really tested me lately… BUT GOD. 🙏🤍

Through it all, I know I am so blessed. I have the best parents, and the best family. I truly wouldn’t be who I am without the people who love and support me. 😭❤️

Thank y’all so much for being so loving, kind, and patient with me. Please like, share, and follow my page as I get everything back up and running. Praying for no more hiccups and that my page never gets deleted again. 😅💚✨

Had my very first birthday party order this weekend and my heart is so full! 💖💙✨ It was for my sweet niece and nephew, and everything turned out so good. 🧚‍♀️💚 So thankful for a supportive family that always believes in me. 😭💚🧚‍♀️

Everything in the photo was made completely from scratch. ✨🧁 Cupcakes with buttercream icing in flavors… vanilla bean, chocolate fudge, and cookies & cream. Plus cookies in flavors…peanut butter, cookies & cream, chocolate chip, and frosted sugar cookie. 🍪💖

I truly love baking. My decorating skills are still growing, but I’m learning more with every order. Thank you to everyone who supports me and loves my treats—even when they come out a little funny sometimes. 🥹🤪
