🕷️ Connecticut is seeing an early spike in tick activity, with Lyme disease infection rates in deer ticks reaching 38.5% by mid-May, according to the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station. Experts say this winter’s heavy snow helped more ticks survive, leading to increased activity and higher disease risk across the state. Residents are encouraged to check for ticks after spending time outdoors and take precautions during peak tick season.
