Story šŸ‘‰ alleybaby.com/about We try to use the most basic ingredients, sourced from local farms, markets, bakeries and mills, to deliver a unique and high quality twist on familiar favorites and comfort foods. At Alley Baby, we strive to hig

hlight some of the city’s favorite establishments and nostalgic foods while keeping our unique take in the forefront. Focusing on high quality, simply designed, reasonably priced foods our goal is to establish a new niche in convenience dining where quality, value and speed of service make for an enjoyable high end casual dining experience in store, by delivery, or eventually by drive through.

ā€œI’m not going to lie, Alley Baby gave me the best all-around experience this year. The wings, a gold Best of Taste winner, were smoked to perfection. And the house barbecue sauce stole the show. Its sweetness paired well with the house rub. Alley Baby also had a delicious coconut chicken sandwich I’d eat again and again. It’s breaded in a coconut, cilantro-citrus vinaigrette and topped with lettuce, pickles and bang bang sauce. It may become my newest go-to.ā€ - David Wysong, trending news editor

Thank you to everyone who showed up this weekend Taste of Cincinnati to show your Cinci kids some love 🧔

And thank you to the band!
Joe — the fry master.
Matt — grill master and rotating specialist.
My brother Nick– holding it down with me.
And also my dad! for popping back up to drop off more food and chat up the line. Preciate ya boys! 🧔

Lots of new faces… lots of familiar faces too.

And to those of you who found me back in the alley when I was just trying to figure out how to get my food out there — thank you for continuing to come back time and time again.

From Osborne Alley… to our first regular spot at Second Story… you’ve continued to show up for us.

I see you.
I appreciate you.
And I love you for it — I think we all do.

You make tomorrow worthwhile.
You remind me of that with every visit.

Thank you for keeping the wind in our sails and continuing to pound out The Path To Delicious with us 🧔

I’m going to work hard to find Alley Baby a brick-and-mortar home — a place where we can all gather under one roof, enjoy great food, share stories, and celebrate the alleyways, side streets, and paths that somehow brought all of us together.

We truly couldn’t do this without you.

My heart is overflowing.

Love you, Cincinnati!
See you soon!

Support a Nati kid 🧔

Alley Baby started on a grill in an Osborne alley — not too far from where The Taste of Cincinnati takes place.

Before the food truck, before the awards… it was dragging a grill — then a tiny gyro-style cart — through the alleys serving whoever would give us a shot

This wasn’t funded
This wasn’t handed to us
This was built from the ground up through rejection, setbacks, failures, long nights, and compiling enough ā€œno’sā€ until there was finally something solid to stand on

Support Cinci hustle 🧔

Look for the Bengals orange food truck with the hot pink ā€œAlley Babyā€ neon at Columbia Parkway #718 and come see why we’ve brought home GOLD every year we’ve shown up 🧔

We entered two dishes…
and both walked away winners 🧔

Honestly, they probably wanted to give the Tater Bombs gold too —
they just needed to make sure they could still fit through the door afterward

Are we the only spot at Taste serving real gluten-friendly options with dedicated gluten-free fryers?

Appreciate everyone who came out this past weekend, as well as yesterday, and gave us grace. Ticket times ran longer than I like— that’s frustrating.

We’re working hard to make sure that doesn’t keep happening: bringing on extra hands, having EVERYTHING prepped ahead of time, putting together more tapered-down menus to help streamline service, and continuing to get better.

When we first got things fired back up, there were days we’d wait hours for a first customer… sometimes being open 8+ hours and not even breaking $100 in sales.

As frustrated as I am with not being better prepared, I’m even more overwhelmed with gratitude for the grace our customers have shown us—trusting us, hanging in there, and giving us the chance to get your orders together as we navigate these growing pains.

It means more than I can put into words.

Thank you. You make us better—truly.

We do not take this lightly.

Preciate y’all… see you out there.

To all the mamas out there—

The ones holding little hands, propping up wobbly legs, cheering on first crawls, first steps, and eventually… helping those babies soar.

We salute you. 🧔

Happy Mother’s Day,
and thank you for the love, strength, patience, and sacrifice it takes to help your babies stand, walk, fly… and become who they’re meant to be.

From Alley Baby — we hope your day is as special as you are.

Alley Baby didn’t start in a kitchen.
It started in an alley.

Not by choice—but because that’s where I was allowed to cook.

Four years later, your hometown Cincinnati boys are still here.
Still building. Still pushing. Still showing up.

Back for our second run at Taste of Cincinnati
The first time—1st place for our wings šŸ„‡

At Taste this year, we’re doing things a little different.

šŸ”„ Premium ingredients — no shortcuts
šŸ”„ Cooked in 100% beef tallow, pure olive oil & 82%+ European-style butter — no seed oils
šŸ”„ Chef-driven menu built from years in kitchens and private healthcare dining
šŸ”„ Nearly the entire menu can be made gluten-free

šŸ½ļø What we’re serving:

šŸ„‡ Coconut Chicken Taco (Best EntrĆ©e)
šŸ‘‰ Gluten-friendly on a corn shell (just ask)

🄈 Tater Bombs + house garlicky dill ranch (Best Bite / Shareable)
šŸ‘‰ Gluten-friendly

Real ingredients. Real technique. Food people don’t forget.

I’ve spent years developing a fry mix and process that lets people eat foods they haven’t had in years—sometimes decades.

Wings. Fried fish. Coconut shrimp.
Foods people thought were off the table.

And yeah… people drive an hour+ just to get it.

That means something.

While most menus are built for speed—
ours is built for experience.

If you’re coming down to Taste this year and want to try something different—something intentional—

Come find us.

This is Alley Baby.
No silver spoons—just our hands 🧔

5:30AM.

Alarm blaring. Laptop tossed onto the bedroom couch (it's primarily a giant laundry basket) with last night’s unfinished notes, menu designs, emails, ideas — whatever wild thoughts show up when you’re running on coffee, fumes, and maybe 2.5 hours of sleep.

Typical start to the day.

Except today wasn’t typical.

Today was the Best of Taste of Cincinnati competition.

Alley Baby entered two dishes:
šŸ† Coconut Chicken Taco — Best EntrĆ©e
🄈 Tater Bombs — Best Bite / Shareable

And after flat tires, rain, a failing generator, borrowed trucks, near chaos, and a whole lot of ā€œwe’re figuring this out no matter whatā€ā€¦

We brought home GOLD and SILVER.

In fact– every year Alley Baby has shown up for Best of Taste of Cincinnati, we’ve taken home gold.

Not sure who else can say that?

This one felt full circle.
Alley Baby started right down the street in Osborne Alley (between 14 & 15th St) — dragging a grill around, serving whoever would let me cook for them.
After a 2025 hiatus, after trying to force a brick-and-mortar dream in Norwood that didn’t work out, after stepping back and having to find Alley Baby again…

We came back on wheels.

A gourmet kitchen heading to a neighborhood, town, city — or alley — near you.

The Coconut Chicken finally found its perfect home: tucked into a toasted tortilla with melted cheese, shaved cabbage, honey-citrus vinaigrette, Alley Sauce, lime, and salsa on the side.

The wings- gold in 2024.

The coconut chicken- gold in 2026.

And the Tater Bombs grabbed silver right beside it.

I think the judges wanted to give us gold for both, but they were probably afraid if we got too shiny we’d start saying ā€œYugeā€ and petition the city to build a massive Alley Baby ballroom downtown.

Honestly, gold and silver look pretty good on my mom’s fridge. A little contrast never hurt.

Thank you to everyone who has rooted for Alley Baby, followed us on "The Path to Delicious", waited in the rain, told a friend, shared a post, booked us, encouraged us, or just believed in what we’re building.

It’s been a dog fight.

And I can feel Hank’s spirit in this.

We may just be a street dog — or maybe an alley dog — but we’re still out here looking for our forever home, we just want to be a house dog after all.

Here’s to you, Cincy and beyond.
