Kelly was a long-time seasonal employee. Rest in peace, friend.

The WFD is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Fire Chief, Kelly Frye (right), seen here at our 90th ceremony with former Chief, John Hancock. Kelly was the Fire Chief of the Worth Township Fire Department (the precursor to the current WFD) from 2001 to 2003. Kelly served the WFD and the citizens of Whitestown for 29 years. Kelly had a big heart and a big personality. He will be missed greatly and we sincerely thank him for all he did for this community.

Our last market of the year is this Saturday in Whitestown. We're cooking up some fall flavors with sweet potato pound cake, apple cider cake, and maple bacon pretzels. Yum!

Sorry, friends. The rain has won yet again. We need to keep the mini straw bales dry, so we will not be attending the Zionsville market today. The market will officially be open despite the weather, so feel free to venture out and see what vendors have braved the elements. Have a great weekend!
