👉 Brisket – Top 10
👉 Ribs… we’ll get those tightened up 😅

Felt like we cooked a really solid contest and we’re knocking on the door. One category away from hearing our name called last.

Cool Hand Que had a great weekend in Elkton, Florida at the Jimmy Jam BBQ!
The weather was amazing for January — mid-80s and sunshine made for a perfect cook.
Huge congratulations to Mark Weatherall and Maya Jane Barbecue on the Grand Champion, and to Iowa’s Smokey D’s BBQ for earning Reserve Grand Champion. Outstanding cooking all around in a very strong field.
We’re proud to bring home a 3rd place Brisket finish. While we didn’t get calls in the other three categories, our scores were solid enough to land us 8th overall against some incredible competition.
Grateful for a great weekend, great weather, and great BBQ. On to the next one! 🔥🍖

Cool Hand Que finished the year and kicked off the new one at The Hog Drop in Unadilla, GA!
Huge thanks to Michael, Myron Mixon, and the entire Hog Drop Team for hosting a first-class competition. There was a ton of fun stuff going on and some serious BBQ talent on site.

Cool Hand Que teamed up with Zip’s BBQ this weekend for the GBA Doc Holliday BBQ Contest in Griffin, GA. We cooked under the name “I’m Your Huckleberry” and had an absolute blast! It’s always a great event, and this year was no different.

We turned in a solid cook:
🔥 7th in Loin
🔥 8th in Pork
🔥 9th in Ribs

Those scores added up to the highest overall total, earning us Reserve Grand Champion! 🔥 We also finished 2nd in Brisket.

Huge congrats to Chuck & Kerry East with Off the Chain BBQ on taking the Grand—well deserved! 🙌
And an extra special congrats to Waylon & Tammy Weatherford on the birth of their new grandson, who made his arrival early Sunday morning. 👶💙
