Chance and Linda's first time ba****ck was yesterday!! A little back story on these two, Linda will kill me... but Chance is 27 and Linda is 72! I am SO lucky that these two met.

Chance was my very first rescue horse. I pulled him from a kill pen at New Holland, where horses were crammed in tight and getting their shoes pulled. Chance stood in the corner with his head down, defeated. I had already picked out a healthier horse from the pen that still had its shoes on, when I question the young man moving horses around and taking some to be loaded. He told me, "the ones with the shoes will be kept longer and advertised on KB site. The ones without the shoes were getting shipped." Chance had already had his shoes pulled off...My mom told me I had to take Chance, he needed me more. That was 2008. Today Chance and Linda are enjoying their retired days together.

That’s a wrap! Last show of the season and the girls came home with several champions and reserves. BUT most importantly was the teamwork I saw while watching the whole CSF family. Parents, friends, family, coaches, all worked together and supported one another. Thank you Natalie Warner and Beca Poff for you dedication, early mornings, late nights, and love for what you do. I am SO proud and lucky to have you all in my life. Thank you to the parents that support us, you guys are the best! And we can forget the horses. Every single one of them was rescued from an auction or came from an OTTB placement farm and ALL are worth their weight in gold.

Rainy day at the Cross Roads show. Loco Lobo brought home champion in both his divisions with Kiara and Addie, Mad Man won champion with Alexis, Annie brought home a reserve and some great placings with Rilee and Olivia. Cool Consigliere and Charlie competed in the jumpers and both rocked as well. Best of all my mom came along in the 🌧.

A little late, but the girls did great at Cedar Valley last weekend. Bell earned her first champion ribbon. She came from Rotz’s killpen less than 2 years ago. Loco Lobo earned great ribbons for his second show and racing less than 2 years ago. Charlie, Savvy, and Ice won champion 🏅 Annie and Julia won great ribbons and were adorable as always. Soldier kept it together for 2 classes, and Maci showed well. BUT best of all was the dad lead line classes.

This horse..Ops Overlord aka Savvy. Raced until he was 9, left in a pen at Lebanon Valley, $250 is what he cost. I wouldn’t trade him for the WORLD. He is 20 now and has taught more kids to ride over the last 10 years then I can count. Today his little buddy, also named Savvi, took home the grand champion again in lead line. ❤️Thank you to Beca Poff and Natalie Warner for coaching.
