Thanks to everyone for their support, 5 star ratings and encouragement. This has been a very hard week for the Van Winkle family, both of the founding owners were laid to rest today. They passed on February 7 and 11 and a service celebrating both of their lives and nearly 65 years of marriage was held today.

Van Winkle’s Homemade Opera Fudge will, blessedly, continue to be made the exact same way by the Van Winkle family.

There has been one change to our holiday schedule. We will NOT be at the Bethlehem Christkindl Market next weekend.

We have lots of events scheduled for the upcoming Holiday season.

On Saturday and Sunday November 29 & 30 we will back at the Leesport Farmers Market.

December 4 through 7 (Thursday to Sunday) we will make our very first appearance at the Bethlehem Christkindlmarkt.

December 11 through 13 (Thursday to Saturday) we will be back in Mifflinburg for their Christkindl Market.

Like many places around the country, Lebanon County has foods that are part of its local culture. Probably the most famous of these foods is Lebanon bologna - a smoky and tangy beef sausage invented by Pennsylvania German farmers.

Yes, we do make chocolate opera fudge and it is delicious. Some say it reminds them of chocolate ice cream.

I just found your page but I grew up on your Opera Fudge!! My mother was from Lebanon, Pa! We still have family in the area. My sister and I were just there and had to make sure we went to Zweiers grocery store to get us some Van Winkle's homemade opera fugde!! We live in SC so we don't get it often. Thank you for continuing your parents' legacy, it is very much appreciated!!!
The time has come!! We will be open starting on Wednesday, June 2nd from 12-5pm. Check out our new hours! We are offering fresh local strawberries, asparagus, rhubarb, spring onions, sweet corn. We also offer assorted canned goods and baked goods. Opera fudge the way it should be! Just perfect. Creamy smooth inside, dark chocolate covering. Delicious indulgence.
Was gifted a box of peanut butter with dark chocolate. Best we've ever had. We will be there. 😍
First off I been buying this fudge since 1992 and use to buy it right from the big red brick house where it was made down in the basement. This fudge is out of this world words can not explain and then the peanutbutter hit the market and buy oh boy....you have to get some because no matter what my words say the fudge does all the great talking:-)))
