🐝🌴 Chasing the Honey Flow! 🌴🐝

We’ve been putting in the overtime to get our girls moved and ready for the upcoming Mangrove and Cabbage Palm honey season!

This weekend, Billy, Brantley, Kayla, Mason, Stevie, and Trenton spent countless hours working each individual hive. Every colony was carefully inspected, queens were located, and hive health was evaluated to ensure our bees are strong, productive, and ready to bring back another crop of delicious Florida honey.

Beekeeping is more than just collecting honey—it’s long days, late nights, and a commitment to keeping our bees healthy and thriving. We couldn’t be more proud of our hardworking team and these amazing honeybees.

After the hard work was done, we even got a chance to cool off in the spring. The kids had a great time swimming, and the water felt amazing after a long day in the bee yard. It’s moments like these that remind us why we love what we do and the memories we’re making along the way.

Thank you for supporting local beekeepers and local agriculture. We can’t wait to share this season’s harvest with you!

🐝 Bill’s Bees Nucs Available – Limited Quantity 🐝

We’ve had several people reach out asking if we currently have nucs available or if we plan to offer any this season. We currently have 6 nucs available, each housed in a 5-frame Jester nuc box and priced at $200 per nuc.

For those who are new to beekeeping, purchasing a nuc is just the first step. Before bringing your bees home, you’ll need to decide which hive setup best fits your goals. Common options include 5-frame, 8-frame, or 10-frame equipment. Each style has its advantages, and we’re happy to help answer questions to determine what may work best for you.

Over the years, we’ve tried a variety of beekeeping equipment. Our personal preference is Mann Lake boxes and frames, as they have performed well in our operation. While we’ve used equipment from Dadant, we’ve found that the boxes and frames haven’t held up as well for us. However, we do highly recommend the Dadant smoker, which has been a reliable tool in our bee yard.

For protective gear, we’ve had great experiences with bee suits from ** Sting Stopper Beekeeping Apparel** and ** Ultra Breeze Bee Suits**.

If you’re interested in reserving one of our available nucs or have questions about getting started with beekeeping, feel free to reach out. We’re always happy to help new beekeepers get started on the right foot!
