A lot of people I know, and millions more I do not are probably thinking the LA protesters deserve a military response. After all, they or their relatives are in the country illegally. That is, in my opinion, a very shortsighted view.
I see Trump coming first for the illegals because after all they are here illegally.
Then they come after the trans community because they see them as freaks. But why wait, do it now.
Then they come for LGBTQ community and gay marriage because Christian evangelicals say it’s ok. But why wait, do it now.
Then they come for all the other people of color because they see them as a threat and worth less than whites. But why wait do it now.
Hi**er did this in Germany playing off the exact same nationalistic fears Trump is using to justify his actions. The N***s and Germany’s silent citizens are responsible for the burning of six million Jews, tens of thousands of homosexuals, five hundred thousand Romani. They just shot everyone else that disagreed with them.
Here in the United States, the “Independent Voters” will just ring their hands and say “Oh my, this isn’t what we voted for”. Independents don’t stand for anything. They won’t stand up and say this is all wrong. They can’t because they won’t take a position and think they have nothing to lose.
We know where Republicans stand on all this.
You need to ask yourself what you believe in. You need to ask yourself “When will they come for me and who will be there to help me?”.
I paraphrase but the actual quote is attributed to Martin Niemöller, a German pastor who initially supported the N***s.
First, they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I have always believed the Holocaust could happen here. You only have to look at white racism and the Christian nationalism to know. Today, that is what we are seeing the beginnings of, even without the gas chambers.
Stand up now if you care. Be counted. Remember who we really are as Americans. Your life may depend on it.
